Despite the shaky phone camera and Kenny G soundtrack in one vid, the player movements look fluid to me.

Wow. I hope this isnt the finished product. Everyone has the default shot? Players look like they're skating and Dirk looks awful.

"What was that? Aw Hell no!" Carlos Boozer going for a dunk in traffic from the FT line and making it? "I'm sorry man that's ridiculous!" (N)

What's up with Ray Allen dribbling like a mad man or like Kobe? (N)

Shaq sinking a fadeway J.

Pau Gasol putback, take off looks far.

Pau Gasol ignoring the rebound and leaves it to Fisher. (N)

Wow that was bad. What happened to the defense it so easy to get into the paint now. The animations were even worse. I really hope the gameplay was that bad because of the two guys that were playing didnt know what they were doing. The only thing that looked better were the graphics. From what i saw it lookedd worst than Nba live 10. And whats with the ugly leaners and fadeaways. Take those shits out the game. Damn it EA.

(links will take you directly to the play Im talkin bout)

eewwwwwww

sorry, EW, D-Wade, full momentum, dunk, hangs on the rim (no swing whatsoever) then swings forward.....ew

Is this a self alleyoop? Or a bad alleyoop? just....the hell man self alleyoops are done by pressing RS up and turbo. same as a normal dunk....so this poor sucka got screwed by the game wanting to do a self alley

the dreaded behind the backboard shot

I'm not even going to watch the other ones.....ouch

I do realize that it is human on human...but it doesnt excuse it from these issues.

Rebounding looks like it has the same problems as 08/09/10 which is a major problem for me. I'm kind of getting a Live 2000 vibe, with the footplanting of 07, and no 2 player animations like Live 2003. They really need to scrap their dunk/layup model all together. Either fix the 07/08 system of gather animations before the dunk/layup or write a new system. There seems to be absolutely no relation of momentum before the dunk/layup and the animation itself....much like the Live PC games. What I mean is a full turbo dribble and a no turbo walking dribble seem to result in the same layup animation cause that unatural speed up or slow down. Saw some around the rim player warping for shooting.

Eh, everything outside of the lane looked pretty good to me. But the rebounding/post play/dunks/layups/collisions/etc in the lane just looks lame. They really should have just released a full version of Jam this year and took 2 years on Elite....cause I dont see this selling well enough for EA to support their 3 year plan or whatever....so I can see them rebuilding again next year.
Opinions are my own.

THese guys who's playing don't know what F*** they are doing LOL, The gameplay is MOST LIKELY on Rookie. And the gameplay speed is way too fast, and did I mention these guys suck? LOL

The gameplay does look free, I'm gonna wait until the demo comes out to make a REAL Judgement

Rookie, pro, two players whatever idc what it was nba live 10 didnt look this bad bro. No build should look this bad. It looks like they downgraded almost 4 years on the gameplay. Im just so disappointed.

The game is only looks bad cause people don't know how to play it LOL. Even in Live 10 when u played on Pro or Rookie, u can dunk from the FT line LOL and do all kinds of crazy sh*t.

I played the NHL 11 Demo, and played more than 20 games, and maybe after 15 I'm starting to get a hold of the stick controls. With that being said, it's going to be a lot harder to play Defense in Elite 11 cause sometimes its hard to play proper D in NHL 11 because of the controls. In one of my previous posts I said to try the Demo, It's gonna be the same controls.

user vs user doesnt excuse the boozer FT dunk, lebrons in the lane off the backboard attempt, the same rebounding problems, the terrible momentum to dunk/layup animations, the D-Wade hang on the rim "swing" or the behind the backboard shots....

the demo costs nothing...so we are all going to try it and that will be the true test. If they release the demo with old code and say "well, try the real game we fixed this and this", no, cause that costs $60 and if the demo doesnt impress then why should I spend 60 to "try" a game.

We have videos now clearly showing issues. You can be a cup half full kind of person all you want but you can't ignore these issues. Would you seriously want this thread to have 0 replies because we are waiting on the demo? Or have every reply give excuses as for why the game is still good despite clearly seeing something different?

What does NHL 11 have to do with Elite 11? 2 different sports that share an animation system and a development site. You need to remember that NHL 09 and 10 were 9/10 games while Live 09 and 10 were 6/10 games. NHL 11 is properly developing year after year while Elite is yet another rebuilding year with another new control scheme and complete gameplay changes. All NHL 11 changed was physics after checks and broken sticks.

I appreciate the enthusiasm....but writing off the first real gameplay footage because of user v user and comparing Elite to NHL is just bullocks man....and I've never seen a free throw dunk in Live 10...regardless of difficulty.

Demo my ass, you can't change a game dramatically in a month. Did you see Dirks horrid shot type and how he looked. The presentation sucked, and so on.
I once was a huge live fan. Then my live got lazer burn and I tried 2k10, which was completley better. Sometimes the facts are hard to face

There were more bad things than good things imo. I think Elite really just focused on the new controls this year. I'm just gonna wait for the demos of both Elite and 2K, and then see which way I go from there. :?:

I'm always open minded to be honest, But trust me, I dunked from the FT line with Rashard Lewis in the Demo in Live 10, I'm not just saying that LOL. Last year they stated that the game is much more competitive and realistic once u changed the difficulty level. I'm ASSUMING this is the case.

I brought up NHL mainly cause of the control scheme, I know it's two different sports, but the controls are pretty much the same as Elite 11. I played NHL 10 and 09, and NHL 11 playes a whole lot better!!! It's much smoother, and the controls take while to learn. I do understand what u mean about the "torpedo" dunks from Boozer and Wade cause those had me like WTF Too. Me personally I can't look into these videos too much, but I'm watching them over and over to see the little details If I can!!! I'm NO WAY impressed by these videos like everybody else, cause I'm more of a hands on type person. And I like to adjust sliders and game speed etc. I think everyone is looking too much into these videos even though it's all we got. I'm not even seeing plays being ran, just shots from all over the place. I can't say I'm not buying this game because people are just learning the game and recording the footage, I don't make decisions like that

Also the Final game of Live 10 and the Demo weren't even the same thing, but these videos for Elite 11 do look like final game, which is not a good look. Atleast with 2k you know what your getting.

I think that the game is still good in spite of what you just saw. Ya going kind of hard its new controls basically every button you used last year has a new button this year so u have to expect this i think if you see 2 people play who actually know the controls and what their doing it would look alot better but they made it soo realistic to the point where alot of what you can do in real life can be done in the game i saw people pumpfakin when they where about 50 ft from the basket that can happen in real life but not likely because people know what their doing. Im a live fan btw when i first played 2k i was garbage but i got used to it and the animations helped their are no more animations so you will have to depend on yourself also people weren't hitting the right controls to use lay ups and floaters in situations that could have surely used them they shot a lean in jumpshot instead come on thats a painful obvious sign that u dont know what your doing EA should have shown a 5 min cpu gameplay on superstar

The things i saw that i didn't like:
Kobes form last year they had it downpact this year it looks like a downgrade
Dirk looks ridiculous his hair is mad long smh
Yes boozers dunk was not a good look but i highly believe that you wont be able to do that whenever you want even if you wanted to EA would fix that with a patch
Also people like nate robinson and boozer shooting the same foul shot shooting form we have to future elites for improvement on that i guess

Im tired of typing lol so im going to end it here i think the game is gonna be good still after all it was co signed by KD Brandon Jennings and Stephen Curry and a bunch of magazines

In these video clips the game look so bad. I'm still waiting for the demo, but I'm really disappointed. I don't want to buy it full price. Maybe when it will be cheaper. They changed the name but it still looks like an NBA Live game.

why is ea actin so scared 2 put out a full gameplay video in 1080hd shot from a good camera not a crappy cell phone camera with good players like their testers not pic up an play guys because i reserved this an if its this easy to score and looks so blurry i rather go get 2k11 i hate 2k but i know it would not b that easy to score

i think that was nba live 97 on the playstation 1.

Those videos and i have looked at all of them are BAD! There are decent things here and there, but nothing really great. collisions are horrible........momentum is not a factor........movements are stiff, animations are not fluid, gameplay seems silly eventhough there are a lot of novices playing it.

too many things wrong with the game.........i wish they had NBA JAM only on the xbox marketplace, cause i really want that game.

there seem to be a lot of emphasis on the shots and the players timing, but they still look too generi. no distinction between players.

simply............DISGUSTING!

i'm actually glad they didn;t call it nba live, cause it would be a travesty and dishonour to the games legacy.
