NBA Elite 11 Delayed

I adapted to the controls fairly easy but could not adapt to those animations. It pretty bad when the players jump without bending their knees.

ELITE IS NICE.. what kind of tv yall playin elite on? a tube 420i? MAN i have 72in 1080p flat and 42in 1080p THE GAME LOOK WAY BETTER THAN 2k11 sound and play..they can't get kobe right he look like a junkie..2k is the same as 10 but wit jordan..fix kobe first why play jordan let that man rest focus on real today players. we did jordan back in da day it was fun then but we have kobe and other good players to play..2k demo was trashy i played it on both consoles ELITE got it..yall know this EA IS BASKETBALL 2k is football that's it..Now we got 2 wait on ELITE to make 2k look like CRACK BALL OR ALIEN NBA.

Shows how much you know when 2k doesn't do football anymore. Any why not play as Jordan? Who wouldn't want to relive those memories. You sir, must be looking to when we get Flying Cars. The Past is important too you know.

2k still do make football games EA has NFL right now they had 10 years 2k was suppose to come out in 08 but all pro came out cuz of NFL rights witch EA still has there waiting for EA to end there contact..thats the only reason HOUNDY...and yes i hope to see flying cars and boats one day...lol

The standalone release of NBA Jam might ease that a bit, but that's still a huge loss.

any news on the release date or is 31 march the most likely date. Nice one TRICKEM Kobe looks like a junkie, his animation just sums up the whole game for me. And the best thing 2k11 has is the crowd attendence at the start of the game

hey andrew, how likely do you think they will release some sort of art update for Live 10?
they could easily add in the new art/logos/jerseys/courts through a patch like they did for OKC in live 09. the only issue would probably be the izod center since the nets are playing in newark now.

Hmm...I'd love to see it happen but at the moment I'm not all that optimistic. If they could release some art packs and some more bug fixes on top of the DNA updates that'd be great but yeah, I don't know that they'd do that.

well, i figured that art updates are easier than bug updates since they can just plug the elite 11 art into live 10 so maybe that gives it a better chance of it actually happening
i did notice a lot of teams have new jerseys this year because of the new fabric. many teams have new collar areas with the same old jersey design so they're relatively minor updates that i don't think really need to be updated

True, I like our chances of getting an art pack more than another bug fix but I'm still not that optimistic. I'd agree that only the major design changes really need to be included if they do release one, obviously if they're willing to update all the jerseys then great but I'd be happy if just the brand new jerseys were included in such a pack.

Hate to burst your bubble, but they probably won't update the art due to the different layouts of the elite 11 jerseys which were updated to look better which means new models and UV layout. It probably isn't worth converting a couple new jerseys to the live 10 format and going through the process of paying and getting the DLC certified.

I think it's possible. They still have the Live 10 engine for sure and replacing stuff shouldn't be a burden to the development of Elite...

...which comes to my opinion about EA "rebooting" NBA Live in Elite. I think they should have started doing this when Live 09 or 10 was being developed. Or probably just let Live go on for several more years and just release Elite when it's completely done as they envision it to be done.

I agree on your second point. I think they should have had the real time physics worked on outside of the normal development cycle until it was ready. From the loss of the demo, it seems that they were performing trial and error during the development process, which doesn't work when you have less than a year to meet a deadline.

I'm all for some art updates, but if they can't update the new courts along with the jerseys, then just continue the dna updates. There is no reason to go backwards, but rather go forward by improving Elite.

That's why I'm not expecting any art updates for NBA Live 10, they're continuing the DNA updates and online support but I don't see them putting any more energy into it than that when they're obviously trying to move forward and make Elite work for the future. I'd also agree that keeping the real time physics on the shelf until it was perfected and then going with the reboot would've been the safer strategy.
