Wade already appeared on the NBA Live 06 cover and EA have yet to repeat a cover player, so that's probably unlikely.

If he agrees to terms with EA Sports to appear on the cover, sure. Same goes for 2K Sports.

Kobe or Durant maybe in some case LeBron but mainly Kobe or Durant......

After watching the OKC-Spurs series and now that the Thunder are in the finals KD has to be in it, he deserves even more to be in a cover.

The deals have probably been finalised for a couple of weeks at this point, but it wouldn't surprise me if Durant is on one of the covers. As I mentioned in the NBA 2K13 section, it would certainly be appropriate if Durant is featured on one cover and LeBron on the other. Last time that happened was in 2009, with Dwight Howard on the cover of NBA Live 10 and Kobe Bryant on the cover of NBA 2K10. Both were signed before the Lakers and Magic got through to the 2009 Finals, so it ended up working out quite well.

Given that NBA 2K13's first commercial features Kobe Bryant, Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose, I think they can be ruled out for the NBA Live 13 cover. Even if they're not appearing on the NBA 2K13 cover itself, it seems safe to assume they'll be doing promotion for 2K.

As I said on Twitter, hopefully Live '13 has enlisted Durant after the Elite '11 fiasco.

It'd certainly be appropriate given that the Thunder made it through to the Finals and he deserves to be on the cover of a game that comes out. Definitely a solid choice as far as having a marketable and prominent star on the cover.

after seeing that leaked cover reveal of 2k, I think NBA LIVE 13 is going to be LeBron James.

It probably LeBron because Rose,Griffin and Durant are on 2k13...Or they will put some legend but I think that's now overused.....

I'd say they'll feature a current player.

The game needs to establish itself first before they put a big star on the cover though.

well if lebron is the cover i guess i will stick with 2k again lol. maybe they can put the entire heat team on the cover and add the all new "flop" feature that the nba games have been missing
