NBA Live 13 will not be released

Why doesn't EA just skip nba live 14...give it at least a two year cycle so they can compete with 2k? I mean...honestly I don't know what they can do because 2k is as close to real nba ball as we can get on this current generation of consoles and that's without factoring in the jordan stuff, classic teams etc...nba live is fucked. They should just really focus on bringing back nba street or the nba jam franchise.

Well they already tried that after NBA Elite 11 was canceled, only to see NBA Live 13 canceled. It's unfortunate. NBA Live used to be my favorite series, then they started to do bad, now I don't know what EA would do.

That's pretty sad that they can't get this done. I am not hopeful for 14 because of this.

I wish I could see and hear what's going on at the EA offices. This is a major embarrassment for them. They botched Elite, and now they've botched NBA Live 12. What were they doing all this time?

man i was really looking forward to buying a $20 nba game this year but i guess i will have to go another year without nba video games. i tihnk they see the next gen consoles on the horizon and are looking to start to develop a game for next gen consoles. i remember playing 2k7 for both ps2 & ps3 and 2k managed to get it right, EA couldn't

when nba live will become a nice basketball title, it will be at nba 2k7's level. And nba 2k17 will be available in stores

I guess it WAS a disruptive marketing strategy. There focus is completely gone now. The game isn't even offline, let alone online. There is nothing to present, so they have no presentation. And for gameplay, there is no game to play.

Yes, they are EA Sports and we should know better by now of the things they do and the way they do it instead of being an optimist in whatever they are doing.

We all are dissapointed with that news...

I'am waiting the game because i play that since the old generation and i won't adaptated to the style of gameplay of 2K series, but before this, i need to learn and move to the 2K13...

This, does not suck. Thank God, because the gameplay was extremely worse... NBA Live 2003 has much better gameplay. NBA 2K13? Fucks up NBA Live 13, which is horrible.

damn it, just give us official NBA Live 10 jersey/roster with at least 500mb of new stuff (audio, jerseys, arenas) and let us get over it

Not surprising is it?
I mean after all the hype, crappy leaked gameplay video which as I said before with only a few months to go it wasn't gonna get any better than that so called alpha gameplay that EA claimed it was to be.

This alpha gameplay video was acceptable a year or 2 ago in development. But not 2-3 months before the official release! No wonder the game is cancelled. It was a sub-standard video game of basketball.

Should we now close this part of the forum now that it is official?

Shame, I was willing to buy an Xbox 360 just to play this game. I myself has been a Live fan since first playing NBA Live 2003 and I hope the best for it for NBA Live 14.

Seriously were you?! That would've been a big mistake. Even if NBA Live 13 was released. In it's current state it would fail. People would much rather prefer playing NBA 2K13. Don't tell us that you were gonna buy a whole 360 game console just to play a sub-standard game of basketball called NBA Live 13.

The leaked gameplay alpha video should've been enough to convince you in the first place not to buy it, let alone buy a 360 console just for that one game and that too for a game that won't even score 6.5 average reviews.

Well I thought of buying the two the 2K13 and Live 13. Well the reason im buying Live 13 so that I can give feedback to improve the game.
