NBA Live 13 cover athlete

I don't see Irving or Wall making it. Usually a superstar makes the cover, and calling either of them a superstar would be far from correct.

Most cases it isn't a superstar that makes the cover. Antoine Walker was in the cover once. Heck, even a guy that doesn't have an NBA contract made it in the cover.

Who was that guy?
I think that EA (if they won't have KD as the cover guy) would like to get a superstar so it could help them attract more casual gamers, despite that I (as many others) don't care who will be in front of the disc or box unless he helps EA with their game (like Durant did in Elite).

I thought he was refering to the main cover. Despite that I find it very odd to have a non NBA player to be on the cover, why was even he in the cover?

All the main covers have indeed featured current NBA players.

I saw on JLin's twitter account that he bashed his cyberface on 2k11. So it wouldn't be 2k if he ever represent a video game. Maybe if they pay him well and make amends lol. That's even before the Linsanity crazed happened.

I guess it's possible, or maybe he'll be an alternate cover, but I'm guessing they'll want to go with someone a bit more established.

What do y'all think about this idea Lebron James for NBA 2K13 cover & Kevin Durant for NBA Live 13 cover. I think that seems realistic.

If 2K is willing to shell out the dough for Jordan, I'm sure they are willing to shell it out for Lebron James. I like the Kevin Durant idea, because he really deserves one after what happened with Elite 11.

I think it's a pretty feasible scenario. Since they have paid all that money for MJ though, I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the cover again, was available as an alternate cover or was featured somehow on the cover even if a current player is the focus (similar to the NBA Live 2000 cover).

they've done MJ 2 years in a row now. they could just d oit like they did Shaq and just keep putting him on there but i think it would be interesting to put the Wizards Jordan on there

I don't know if that'd sell as well. I guess it's still MJ but him in the Bulls' road jersey is an iconic look and the way he's generally remembered, with his Wizards tenure pretty much glossed over.

Probably going to be Durant, but if he declines after the Elite fiasco, Blake Griffin is my best guess.

My best bet will be Durant as LeBron James just ask a lot of money to put his pic on a cover!

Considering MJ has an exclusive deal with 2K Sports, he won't be appearing in NBA Live or on the NBA Live cover anytime soon.

I give a chance to Durant to be an cover athlete, only because that unused cover he made, but that is only reason. except that, i do not see why he must be on cover. pattern anthony,wade, mcgrady, arenas.. durant? maybe it is logic...

i´d rather see sombody who is NBA star, not superstar, like Rondo, Josh Smith, Rudy Gay. they are my top 3 picks. or maybe one superstar name- and that is Chris Paul.

I don't think Westbrook is a likely frontrunner, though never say never I guess. Well, you might as you don't want to see it happen.
