Making all the new controls along with the physics pretty much required that they remove all the animations and AI from Live 10.

Hmm, it is a very hard question to answer correctly. HAHA. In my time with the game, knowledge of the product and it's competitors, I would say they made the right choice. I mean there are bad games that come out all the time, but this just feels so pre-release (beta), and unfinished, i don't see any way this would garner even 1 positive review from a major source. They made the right decision because this also sets up a huge return for 2013. If that game is rubbish, then they are 100% kaput.

Agreed, they really have to come back strong. I'm not expecting perfection but with two years off, that should be enough time to point things in the right direction and make up a fair bit of ground.
They did recently extend their licensing agreement with the NBA though, so they'll likely be making NBA games for years to come. Next year could be their last good shot at salvaging the franchise and making an impressive comeback, though. I certainly hope they can do it and that we can play a role in it with our Wishlists and the like.

I'd love to see some more raw gameplay if you get a change, maybe even some slow mo replays to see how the game handled blending animations.

Appreciate anything you can manage, if and when you get a moment.

That was really bad but has EA ever done a very good celebration cutscene?
Sun Jul 10, 2011 9:13 am
Those could be better but they're good. It wouldn't be that hard to implement something at least of that level.
