New Jersey Nets and the bulls

Depending on what happens with Dwight I might choose Orlando. If he is still there I'll trade him and get a head start on a rebuild. If he has already been traded, then I'll just rebuild around Bynum or Lopez or whoever is on the team.
Plus their shiny new arena should be on the game, I assume.

Indiana Pacers!! Then the Raptors lol

If I got the game, maybe the Hornets or Clippers, both have gotten good talent over the off season.

Thought you'd be all for continuing the Thunder's dominance?

usually play dynasty with a fantasy draft, but online i'd play as the clips (they're fucking stacked) and rockets (Linsanity)

Totally. They are my favourite team and that's a big part of the longevity of a save game. But I've done two Thunder dynasties now and I want to try out a team in the eastern conference.
Besides, if I go Orlando I can trade Howard to okc and they can be dominant anyway.

Ah, definitely fair enough.

My first choice,as always,is going to be the Chicago Bulls and probably going to make a comeback in the dynasty stories section with them(either on Live or on 2k13 on PC. I will choose the most enjoyable game of the two and make my story). After that, one team I would like to play with are the Timberwolves.

LAC, as always...

I will use Lakers & Clippers

Most likely my Spurs! If not San Antonio, possibly Cleveland or Charlotte.

This.

Too bad there will be no Scola or Lowry in the upcoming game

Houston will still be good. Deep bench, Jeremy Lin, etc.

The team got much younger, so it's quite interesting on how would they fare w/ the other teams.

Die hard team is the Heat but I'm assuming it will eventually be easy to win with them so I'll probably go with golden state. I love playing with them. Hopefully Curry and Bogut will stay healthy for me.
Mon Jul 30, 2012 7:28 am
You use the Heat? Ew. Whenever I use the Heat I attempt to get the entire team evolved. It's tempting to just spam LeBron though!

like always i will be the celtics first second and last. i will try to play season one without trades but i will probably fail. this is something i say every year and every year i fail. i love getting a high draft pick in my first season and with the celtics age i can see myself trading someone before they just retire. i am very excited about this roster though. one option i may go with is to keep my core 8 and trade any and everyone else to see how high up in the draft i can get.
if i was not to use the celtics i would go with new orleans for davis and rivers but its much more likely that i would use the celtics and trade for them lol

I know what you mean about the temptation being too great not to make any trades. The key is to not overdo it, I find that constantly overhauling your roster just leads to boredom and a lack of identity for your team, which I think is important to the Dynasty/Association experience.

i fully agree. the most fun dynasties are the ones where i limit myself to 1 or 2 trades per season. when i get the urge to make a bunch of trades i just load up my sim save and do it there now. i like this celtics team a lot so i really want to see it through. i am really thinking about keeping the starters, rookies, terry, lee, and green. i like that team there and want to see what i can do with it. i will trade anyone else i can and see how high i can get in the draft and whoever i get with that first draft will become my project.

It's definitely a good idea to keep a secondary Dynasty that you sim (or perhaps sometimes sim-intervene, to see what the team is like to play with or to win an important game), just to mess around with. As you noted, it's a good way of getting the urge to go crazy wheeling and dealing out of your system, without leaving yourself with a Dynasty game that's no longer fun to play.
I think you kind of have to make at least a couple of moves a season though, because that's what Dynasty Mode is all about. Sure, we want there to be realism and for that reason it's usually wise to exercise some restraint, but there is a fantasy element to it as well, perhaps even a bit of wish fulfillment. I like the idea of Dynamic Season as a companion to Dynasty Mode, the ability to play through an NBA season with real stats, lineups and transactions, but it should remain a separate mode and experience.

Yeah it's my diehard team since Tim bug and Sasha danilovic. I normally don't use them in dynasty mode when they're really good though. Just gets to easy. That's why I'll most likely go with the warriors or maybe even Milwaukee cause they got Monte "moped" Ellis and Epe Udoh (my former warriors) plus I like playing with Brandon Jennings.

I'm leaning now towards being the New Orleans Hornets since they have Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers and Eric Gordon. I feel that the Hornets will be a rebuilding project for me and to try and build up in the Western Conference. It will be tough trying to get past Thunder, Lakers, Clippers, Spurs, Mavericks, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Warriors. Could be fun for years though and I may have Austin Rivers as my sixth man and build around Davis and Gordon. I tend to mix veterans with most young players but I may go mostly young until I start winning and then throw in a few veterans like the Thunder did.
