I'd agree with that too, but that's no longer an option. They've got to move forward with what they put it place for NBA Elite 11 albeit with a few changes and a lot more polish.

Aww man..I wanted to buy one... too bad...
Fri Nov 05, 2010 9:26 pm
They should build off the NBA Live 09 or 10 engine!!! It's too late for them to be starting from scratch!!!
Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:43 pm
They are not starting from scratch. They are developing on Elite 11.
Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:26 am
I waited that.
Sat Nov 06, 2010 10:12 am
i dont think they can change much except the polishing and other stuff
Sat Nov 06, 2010 10:18 am
Considering they'll have until September next year, that's plenty of time to make positive changes and additions as well as add the necessary polish.

NBA Elite 12 will be a big bang next year?
Sun Nov 07, 2010 5:17 am
I can say no for this.
Oh, I forgot that. I'm unable to play with REAL ESPN integration.
Sun Nov 07, 2010 7:10 am
If they bring back Elite/Live to PC, I'll be happy.

just wanna know how many people will buy elite 12 if EA tribuon fix everything you guys asked for and more
Mon Nov 08, 2010 6:40 pm
I'll be getting it, but I'd say from now on I'll be getting both the EA and 2K title every year.

I've been away from Live for - I can't recall how long, and been playing EA College basketball since 04.
With no College title this year, I figure now it's time to go back to Live. It must be a sign.
I guess not. EA really does not want my money.
BTW. I tired 2kXX, and currently have 2k11 demo. My brain is so wired to EA that I just don't like the feel of it. I know many said it's better, this and that, but EA must be in my DNA.

Just to reiterate my position. I love the Elite 11 demo, I find it fresh and challenging. The only thing I don't feel a rewarding sense of control over is dribble break downs but I can see that the mechanics are already in place, just the player differentiation could be greater. I have to stress how much I believe in Elite 11's developments in the area of game play dymnamics, I find the depth of my player control very satisfying. My greatest concern is that the dev team, no matter what the outcome of the franchise, won't hear my voice, won't hear that I for one really dig the feel of what they've created. It takes me into the shoes of my guys on the court and challenges me to play hoops.

According to the report, one part of the "organizational changes" is the realignment of EA Sports internally around each of its franchises, which will each have its own GM. These managers will in turn report to EA Sports senior vice president Andrew Wilson, who will continue to report to EA Sports president Peter Moore.

Here's hoping that means there'll be less turnover and changes in direction, ending a trend of constant rebuilding.

We cannot say RIP, but at least it's inactive.
Also we have a petition again, but EA earn A LOT OF MONEY from PS3 and XBOX 360. Think that it's released on PC. It will be the end of PS3 and XBOX 360 (2k was a disappointment for these guys too). They have contracts with these 2 consoles, so they can't make a release (people knows why didn't they make a release at 2002).
Sat Nov 13, 2010 5:34 am
They didn't give us 2002 because they gave us the option of releasing a pc version of live 2001 that had the new engine or waiting for 2002. Of course, we want want want, and got it in February iirc. Which meant no 2002 and they worked on a pc friendly version of 2002 which was basically the custom art feature.
Sat Nov 13, 2010 8:45 am
Releasing the game on the PC will not be the end of the console versions, either.

Yes, but at least console versions will have less users rather than now, it means less money and our billioner CEO's will be angry of it.
EDIT: PS3 pirates are really near to the pirate shopping, EA needs to move on to PC as what do 2K Sports guys are doing.
Sun Nov 14, 2010 12:34 am
....no, not really. We (the PC basketball community) are very very VERY small in comparison to the 360 and PS3 versions of the game. The main issue is if the additional sales of the PC version properly meet the development cost of the port.
