Operation Sports NBA Elite 11 Video from Elite 24

EA sports just paid KD, Jennings and Curry to talk some BS and we all fell into this NBA Elite's trap. This game, is terrible.

I saw the negative response before the videos and as such, I was expecting much worse. The shaky camera work and two users likely playing the game on rookie difficulty don't help matters and that's worth acknowledging right off the bat. And I know it sounds like I'm making excuses but I do wonder what build was on display because some of the recent quick clips and snippets in other videos have looked better than this, so I feel that bears mentioning as well.

I would also suggest that final impressions should be reserved for the demo, when we can form a better opinion of how the game is going to play for each of us individually and make a more informed decision. Otherwise, we venture into the realm of Complaining about games we don't play.

Things like the free throw line are a concern but considering how they patched out some of those things last year, perhaps they can do the same this year if some of the dunks are too crazy or whatnot. If these issues are present in the demo, then hopefully we'll get an opportunity to suggest that and get a patch soon after the game's release as they did last year. Here's hoping.

On the whole, those videos aren't great but I'm not making any definitive statements until I try out the demo.

Ive noticed that the broadcast cam is not best suited for the gameplay and the behind camera isnt either. I think they should go with the classic nba live 05 press box cam on this one. Seems to make the most sense since. On the press box notice how much easier it is staying in front of your man. It would probably even help make the less fluid animations look better.

i play on baseline high with the height low and the zoom almost maxxed out

no excuse this looks bad...the people playing in the 2k video were not good at all but you can tell that 2k upgraded alot. The first couple of videos from gc where recorded. u cant make any excuse for a game that looks like that, but i guess we have to wait for the demo to drop b4 any conclusion.

Oddly there's been some negative feedback about the 2K videos as well that's gone beyond the people playing them and the gamestyle settings (a lot of the 2K videos have been on the casual setting). I suppose as fanatics we're also prone to being harsh critics. I'm guessing it's only going to be another week or two before we get our hands on demos for both titles, at which point there'll be even more videos and hands-on impressions from the community.

It's funny, that's what NBA Elite 11 looks like in regards of gameplay

I don't see how real physics work in the game. The collisions are odd. The animation makes the game look like an arcade game.

Like some people on the internet are saying, EA needs to take a break this year and develope NBA Elite 12 early. It needs to be a grand production if they changed the name and probably the entire gameplay and controls. This does not look good and i think it is VERY hard to delete all the 2 player animations and create something called "physics gameplay"

EA Sports is looking really bad with the NBA games. They should not release this so then the company gets a higher praise for its Fifa and NHL, where it looks so much f'n better than PES and NHL 2k11.

ok could someone tell those flippin devs to show some real 5v5 gameplay like 3 mins or more and i with sound,not with music lol. I want to hear the new commentators,the rim sound,and the crowd reactions. Srry about this but just like 2k, they showed like 9 mins of gameplay why can't elite do the same or is it still work in progress? And why is the gamespeed so fast on gameplay? I hope they fix those canned animations and show the real physics cuz these 5v5 gameplays they put on the website look like clips to me.

people already have demanded footage from the flippin devs and guess what...they cant do it cause they are making a flippin game. seriously, its been asked for on OS and they are too busy right now to make a raw gameplay video and even if they did make the video PR would have to approve it and have you noticed there hasnt been a blog out for a few weeks now?

sit down, shut it, and wait for the demo....EA doesnt normally show off raw gameplay until review sites get the full game for reviews

Until i play the demos for each game, im still goin to be pulling for Elite .

I find it very hard to judge what the gameplay looks like when it seems like guys filming with one hand and jacking off with the other.

But it looks more cartoony. Not understanding why people complain, probably because 2k has put some vids out there, which are very impressive, but Elite to 2k looks like Garbage

Your right there hasn't been a blog in like weeks maybe a month. What's going on with these guys? I'm still looking a the 2k vids and they look a lot better but im gonna try the demo and see if it don't play right I know where my money is going

I'd say a combination of being kept busy working on the game and the PR department wanting them to remain tight-lipped about it.

One of the things the the dev team has been chanting as a mantra for this season, 'it's all about how it feels' not 'how much it looks like a tele cast of an NBA game'. I'm gonna try the demo and see how it feels.

Judging by some of the videos they have released, they may have toned down slightly, but clearly this is going to be a problem in the game until patched.

Glad they're getting rid of that. Entertaining to watch though.
