^^ How about you master typing like a person instead of a nincompoop?
And to EA saying they are thinking long term...why do they keep restarting every freaking year then? That doesn't sound long term to me.
I don't really feel the need to bitch though, I haven't been playing Live and I don't see myself buying Elite, so yeah, no point to me really posting about the game.

I think the problem with that is the timing on the hook shot release is at the exact moment when the player releases the ball, so you just have to hold it at 90 degrees and its automatic because the meter stops when the player releases the ball. I'll try it on a higher difficulty and see I'd I can reproduce it.

Because you cannot recover on D or control the pace of the game to your liking!!! It sucks when you have limits to what you can really do in a game where your supposed to have total control. In my honest opinion, I can see this game being improved, it's all the little things that make basketball, basketball that need to be worked on.
The should put back the speed of the game sliders, I don't know why they took it out!! It's not good that they limited the sliders this year
Make a player strength slider too, unless you can edit the weight or strength in the CAP. I just spend an hour playing a few of the demo, and I think, Turbo might be the missing key in this game
Really? I didn't actually miss it as much as I thought I would. Besides, it wouldn't address the issues with the animations which is one of the main criticisms that's turning people off the game.
Mainly for Be A Pro mode, but since the official game will have all the sliders including game speed, it MIGHT not matter.

Lets be honest here....
Was there anything wrong with the controls last year? Yes there are more things that could have been added. But truthfully the controls last year in general were good. The dribbling. The passing. The shooting (although I do like the shot stick), but they could have had that and still used the controls from last year.
Your opinions please. And remember this about last year controls vs this year.

I don't understand how they couldn't keep all the stuff from last year, and implement the new controls to it. Its not the controls that are the problems. . although, I can't hit a jumpshot to save my life sometimes, it's all the stuff they took out last year that made the game what it is

I asked them why they couldn't keep the animations from last year and they said it was because of their new mocap system.

As far as the control scheme is concerned, I'd agree it was fine (except that we couldn't customise it). There were definite issues with the responsiveness though and the different between the user skill based shooting and the "dice roll" success in previous games is apparent. I feel like there's less heaviness/clunkiness this year but that's not to say that couldn't have been achieved with the more familiar controls. Of course they do still have those controls in the game but when using those controls the shooting feels like it's a dice roll as in the past.

You can always switch to the alternate controls, which are like Live 10's.

Roundtable discussion at Operation Sports. Doesn't go into a lot of detail but I'd say most people will agree with it.

Really feeling bad for EA I mean its not just 2k players, its Live players and non biasis people giving there views of Elite and sadly to say most of them are negative and saying the same things.
I really think this is a case of if its not broke then don't fix it. Live 10 was not broke it was just incomplete, but Elite acts like live 10 was broke so instead of completeing it they tore it down and put something new up, now the fans are frustrated more then pleased. 2k wins out because it pleases its fan not try to beat Live, it realizes it beasts live by pleasing its fan. I truly believe Elite said we have to come up with the best innovative way of playing the game to be the "King" of basketball and they didn't try to please fans because we has fans loved Live 10 just wanted it to be improved.
I don't think we wanted turbo changed, I don't think we wanted the game to be slugish, I don't think we wanted the game to be frustrating and the graphics and animations to be worse then Live 10 but that is what we got, its really sad

Sluggish? I'd call NBA Live 10 sluggish, not NBA Elite 11. As for turbo being removed, no, we didn't ask for that, but I still don't think that's the huge problem it's being made out to be. Check out the opinions from last year; NBA Live 10, while certainly receiving praise from the fans, was far from being universally loved.
If NBA Elite 11 had basically been NBA Live 10 with a few upgrades and a roster update, I believe the reactions would still have been fairly negative with the common cry being "Same crap as last year". Trying something new was, in itself, not a bad idea for EA. What they've done certainly hasn't resonated with the majority however.
