I'm inclined to think it's a placeholder with Kyrie Irving being the actual cover player, given his previous relationship with EA, appearance in the CGI trailer and a couple of allusions here and there. But it's always fun to speculate.

I think they're following a similar script from last year, they had Kyrie and Rubio promoting the game earlier in the year also. I Still think it could be Kevin Durant lol
