In your opinion, what should EA focus the most for their next NBA title? Rank these aspects if you want based on what you think should be the priority list.

gameplay, gameplay, gameplay

At this point I'd say gameplay and game modes equally. Dynasty Mode is in desperate need of an overhaul/expansion and NBA Live 10 was light on modes in general. If you want to put gameplay first (along with controls, animations and everything else it entails), game modes has to be a very close second.

I want to play a game with my Lakers knowing that the courts and jerseys have the absolutely correct colors like it's supposed to be.
I want thousands of shoe models/colorways to choose from in editing the players.
I want accurate sock, headband, and sleeve colors and textures for home and away games.
I want the NBA logo to be placed accurately in the accessories.
It doesn't seem realistic when those are not present in my game.

I know gameplay is the most important thing to improve but I wanted to know which aspects of it do you think should be improved the most.

Tough call. I mean, it comes down to getting it right across the board for a pleasing gameplay experience. The animations, physics and controls are important for the look, feel and responsiveness of gameplay which is important so I guess you could place those as the top priority. However, realistic performance, abilities, strategies, balance between offense and defense, balance between the user and CPU, all the stuff that goes into the AI...that's right up there as well.

Yes we need game modes but it wouldn't matter if the gameplay sucks

With all the time they'll have had to develop the game, cancelling NBA Elite 11 and taking this year off, there should be ample time to give attention to both. Without a variety of quality game modes, there's less replay value.

Everything. We will have waited three years for this. It better be perfect in every area possible.
jk
I'd go with gameplay, AI, graphics.

1st - getting the physics engine right
2nd - get as many shoes as possible, I dont know if could play 2k11 on the 360 right now with out Jennings in his Black Ices
3rd - create some sexy gameplay, dont care if the rest of the arenas and coaches look bad, I only look at the shoes anyway

Consistency across the board. Each EA game has had too much focus on a few selling points while other areas ended up lackluster. I'd rather have everything working well then have a few parts that are great and a few that suck. This includes gameplay, animations, image quality, sound, game modes, performance, controls, everything.
None of this settling with statements like "we are looking to improve on that next year because we couldn't finish it." They have two years to make a game. It should blow every Live released on the 360 and PS3 our out of the water.

Well said. After all this time, it should absolutely be a well-rounded product. I expect there to be room for improvement across the board but that all areas of the game at least be satisfactory.

I also expect that they'll have a satisfactory balanced game because they have enought time (and resources) to do it.

I agree with that. EA cheated on their last game(s) with the lod level of their models. During cutscenes and upclose shots and in replay mode, they used high quality models, while during gameplay, it looked like it was stepped down a notch, even though it still looked ok, I wonder what it would have looked like at full detail. If the models were at full detail and we couldn't tell, then there was something else causing us to perceive that.

Make the game available on PC.
I'd like to have the NBA Live series back on PC.

I think it's fair to say most of us would, those who are interested in EA's future forays into sim NBA titles at any rate. I'll cheaply plug the
PC Petition again at this juncture.

Actually, you aint really joking. They have a lot of time on their hands, and well, it is not going to be perfect, but it has to be good or great in every major aspect.

EA should focus on getting gameplay on 2k's level 1st. then worry about all those other modes after!!! If Live gets smooth gameplay, people will buy it for head to head matches!! EA's online still better than 2k's. LOL

EA should focus on getting this FIFA and NHL animation collision technology in their NBA game. Give us unique game moments, then worry about competing with 2K.

Not everyone's an online gamer; I'm definitely still an offline/Dynasty player. NBA Live 10 was very thin on game modes and its Dynasty Mode left a lot to be desired. No reason they shouldn't receive some attention too.

Correct. And NBA Live 10 was EA trying to be more on 2K's level.
