close shot rating

Wed Sep 15, 2010 2:10 am

I know ea says ratings do not take that much of an effect on the game anymore like dna but i feel they still do. This is why i want a close shot rating like nba 2k to separate it from inside scoring. This would keep people like Dwight Howard from hitting jumpshots like in the heat magic video. what do u guys think?

I agree a rating/attribute like that is important, but isn't that already represented in the DNA ratings/tendencies?

Thats the thing its only a tendency but not the players ability. Some players have a respectable percentage shooting close whereas theyre ability is not so much. Like Lebron has a respectable percentage close but everybody knows he could improve on his moves with his back to the basket. Difference bt ability and tendency.

DNA in NBA Live 10 covered the ability as well as tendency. That's not to say there wasn't room for improvement but it did cover both.

I thought the dna only covered tendencies and percentages? I thought the ability ratings determined the variety of moves the player could perform. Well thats the way it should be. DNA should not control something like that.

DNA in NBA Live 10 controlled both tendencies and abilities, based on real life data collected by Synergy. In NBA Live 09, it was just tendencies.
