No 29/58 game dynasty seasons in Elite 11

A big blow for me to the new improved dynasty mode is the inability to play shorter seasons than the normal 82 games. stepsix, an EA dev over at OS, tweeted that the only option in dynasty mode this year is the full 82 game schedule.

He did offer Become Legendary as a replacement (I guess kinda like how Marcus tried selling Dynamic Season on us last year)

I hope that you guys are willing to play Become Legendary in the demo before writing it off...I'm playing through a character currently and to me it's a great take on the classic dynasty - really keeps you playing.

No matter how you look at it, removing features from older games isn't a good move. This has been on our wishlists since Live 06 on the 360 removed this feature and looks like it might join Create-a-Team as one of those things we just gotta move on from.

I prefer 82 game seasons anyway as I'm willing to sim what I don't have time to play, but it's definitely a shame that the game will not include the option for those who want it. Sim intervention remains a feasible alternative, though.

I'm still inclined to put it on the Wishlist, if NBA Elite 11 is the huge step forward we're hoping for then NBA Elite 12 is going to need these enhancements and additions to continue to improve. Yes, it's bringing back things that were in the series at one point and it'd be nice if they'd come back sooner or never left but if we can get them back, better late than never.

This sucks for those who don't have time or are too lazy to play 82 games. I agree with Andrew, I sim some of the games too. Though if the gameplay is great, I might not be simming for awhile.

With a kid these days, anything more than 29 games (half of which are simmed) is far too long. I could play 82 game seasons & sim 65 of them but doesn't seem as fun.

I can see where they're coming from though. Dynasty Mode is supposed to replicate several facets of the NBA experience and 82 games is realistic, but having the option would be nice.

It's only realistic if they have stat tracking (like 2k) & progressive fatigue, hot & cold streaks, etc.

Well, 82 games is realistic no matter what because that's the actual number of games in an NBA season, but I get where you're coming from. They did actually have season fatigue in NBA Live 07 which was the first year they restricted the number of games in Dynasty Mode to 82 only so it's a throwback to that addition.
