Thanks Andrew. (Y) Will definitely put this to good use when I get around to playing the demo again. Hopefully now it'll be more enjoyable.

Off the Glass Alley oops ... This is something that has never happened in a 5 on 5 basketball game before.

I've always found that to be the case. Compared to previous games I'm finding shooting to be much easier with the stick.

Remember that defenders affect the shot window, causing it to be smaller.

I don't think i've made a shot yet I've made lay-ups and dunks but I haven't hit a shot in the game I'm having a very hard time with the shot stick as far as shooting. Am I doing something wrong? I'm pushing shot stick straight up but even in practice mode it seems like I can't get the time right or after I push shot stick up it goes to the right or left at the release

I had a similar problem. Turns out it was they I was pushing up on the stick. I put my thumb under the RS and push up, every shot is slightly left. I put my thumb directly on the stick the way it is supposed to be, and started biting 90 degree more often.

You should be able to figure out the positioning of the stick and timing of the release by looking at the on-screen display in the tutorials. The perfect release point and pushing the stick up as close to 90 degrees as possible should become second nature.
