Portrait, logos, and more editor released

Postby jor1980 on Tue Oct 20, 2009 7:01 pm

HI guys, i have finished a tool that allows to edit portraits , also logos and mini jerseys and maybe another pair of files with the same name and extensions .iff/.cdf. Only works with the if/cdf pairs that are only textures, for example, portrait,logos_large,logos_medium,logos_small,unifportraits....and maybe more.

Here is the link to download the program:

http://www.moddingway.com/news/486.html

Here the link to download nvidia plugins for photoshop:
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/phot ... ugins.html

It´s very improtant watch the videotutorial and read the readme.txt:

IFF-CDF STUDIO By Jor1980
-------------------------
-------------------------
http://www.moddingway.com

This program allows you to edit iff/cdf pairs of files that contains textures.
It has been tested with portraits.iff/.cdf logos_large.iff/.cdf
logos_medium.iff/cdf and logos_small.iff/.cdf.

Maybe the program could works with other files but it hasn't been tested

#Instructions:
--------------
--------------

Very Important!!! Always make a copy of your files before you edit them

1.-The first step is create the *.edit file, press Create *.edit button and select
the iff/cdf pair of files.

2.-When you has created the *.edit file you must load it pressing Load *.edit
and now you can see the textures. If you want you can see or not the transparent layer
checking transparency checkbox.

3.-You can export the textures with Save texture button, but i recommend you that you create
your new textures by your own, because you have to create a transparent layer,to know how to do it
you must watch my videotutorial.

4.-The textures created by you must been saved with the same dimensions, type and mipmaps than
the texure you want to replace(you can see this in the statusbar of the program's window).

5.-If the old texture is a *.bmp you don´t have to create your texture with mipmaps beause the program
makes it by themself.

6.-When you has changed all the textures you must create the new par of iff/cdf files with
the button Create *.iff/*.cdf

7.-Rename the new files with the name of the old ones and put them into the game folder

This is not for 3d, this is only for textures. For the players portraits, logos portrait that you see behind the player portrait, uniform portraits. and maybe something more.

To do this we need a roster editor, in the portrait files are 1000 portraits some of them i think that are unused, maybe some of them are the 2k developers portraits. To add a portrait to a created player we need a roster editor

Wow! Great work! Looking forward to this.

Any change that you could have a look at how to edit the arena music so we can add our own custom music, like you can on the 360? Don't understand why they omitted this feature from the PC version and PS3 version.

Nice program, Sir. But, we´re still unable to i.e. edit the paint (Freethrowarea) right under the baskets, because there is are no *cdf-files for this stuff, right ?

Example :

I want to modify the f015.iff (this is the file for the Los Angeles Lakers Court floortextures), but i need also an *.CDF-File to open ALL (!!!!) the floortextures, right ? Okay, but......there is no *CDF-File for this specific f015.iff      , or see i something wrong ?
