Rookie development bug, help me solve it

Postby Hedonist on Sat Aug 14, 2010 10:31 pm

Hi, I'm working on a roster and somebody informed me that the rookies don't develop. They have high potential but stay the same after the offseason.

Does anybody have an idea what the problem is?

I discovered that most of them have ID's that were blank in the original roster so I tried to find out if that was the problem by exchanging their ID's with known vets who are already done developing, but still, Evan Turner and John Wall just stay the same despite high potential. Nobody in the draft class actually improves at all..

Please help if you have a clue. thanks!

Are they CAPS or generated (draft class)?

I think one way they got around that was editing the generated draft classes to be actual players, start an association, export teams with the rooks in it, then assign them to their teams. That way the rooks develop because they are not CAPs and actually develop because they are generated by the game itself.

Thanks. that's an interesting thought, I'll keep that in mind for draft classes.

but for this roster it's not CAP's, at least not by means of the CAP function. It's about Wall, Turner, Cousins and co. they don't develop. Somebody has already told me that there's probably some 'hidden' potential stat or so.. not sure what I can do about that. I tried swapping player's ID's but it didn't really work.

Correct me if I'm wrong man, but isn't your roster based on Kova's? I think Kova's rooks in his new roster are CAPs. He remade made them via CAP and edited their player ID's so they can have portraits and CFs.

aha, I didn't know that, thanks.

Is there a way to export a rookie class into a roster and then give them the attributes of the actual rookies?

I was thinking of any editor that would allow you to copy-paste ratings. I'm not familiar with the available editors, unfortunately.
