looking for a shoe template/ tutorial

I remember someone posted some sort of template a few months ago

some tutorial or explanation would be great too

so I did my best to convert the zoom lebron iv from live (Im not sure who did that, but be sure, I will NOT release it here, just personal use)over to 2k10

some things i noticed ingame:

it looked bad
the light sort of came from the sole
no reflection and shading
weird propotions

all these things came from:
i sort of dont know how to place the textures, i just copied and stretched, same with the sole
probably the red green and blue is not as its supposd to be? bright green or normal green
