Can you recommend me a PC to run NBA 2k10 on max settings?

Okay so after not being able to run it on my original duel core processor PC, not being able to play the game on a Mac, im out trying to buy the right computer again to be able to run the game on max settings. someone recommend me a quad core processor, but is that all I'll need, or do I need to make sure other things are up to par so to speak?
