Looks like NBA 2K10 is going to be a lot of work again..

the celtics court seems to look worse than last year. the colours are way off, it still has the baseline from '08..


again, floor-textures are horrible. the real lakers court is much brighter. it seems like 2k-developers didn't even look at the actual courts for the last 5 years..


the basket looks dirty, wtf?! it's the nba, 2k, no street ball it's the same net like it was back in 2k3. overall the colors look dull.

thank you 2k. at least there will be a pc-version where we can fix all these things..

The basket is blurry from the depth of field effect. It will probably look the same as 2K9. I bet a simple conversion of textures from 2k9 mods to 2k10 will do just fine.

I don't know about you guys, but coming from a person who only recently converted to the 2k series after playing Live for many years and those complaints seem so insignificant to warrant "a lot of work". Maybe I'm just too indifferent about the finer details anyway.

these things are very minor. i dont think 2k will change from .iff and our courts we made shouldnt be that hard to import into the new ones!! so meh.. not a big deal.

i've been playing 2k since nba 2k2 on dreamcast, so my aspirations are much higher

i know those are only small details, but they bother me. i'm a perfectionist, even when it comes to videogames. i want everything to look as real as possible. in terms of graphics and details live 10 seems to be head and shoulders above 2k. they got every court spot-on, the jerseys look very authentic. c'mon 2k, you can do waayyy better!!

(lives gameplay sucks though..)

they should hire the CF patchers here in NLSC, the CF patches for 2k9 are way better compared to the 2k10 previews above.

Personally i'm a huge fan of NBA live series,but EA made me try 2k and i believe this year i will have 2k10 also.
(My NBA 08 will still be in my PC,but the need of an updated product makes me buy 2k whick is a good game after all.Maybe start patching also)

^^like he said I'm excited about the gameplay, as long as it's on pc, textures and stuff are my less concern, and yeah 2k is known for having .iff files as long as I can remember (I remember trying to mod my ps2 2k7 and put it in my pc {What was I thinking people} well I seen a unknown format that I knew nothing a bout and left it alone)

I'm excited about modding all the new stuff, especially my player mod, like my own cyberface and stuff, WHOA!!!! I'm getting chills thinking bout out it, lol, true modders should be excited instead of complaining, I know I am...

one of the best thing in pc is that we can modify it..its boring if there's no modification thats why i really enjoy 2k9,and really looking forward to 2k10,and i really like the gameplay.

I agree, that floor textures look horrible, but 2k will not change file format. The thing I'm actually looking forward to is more detailed courts, jerseys etc, which means more things we can modify. I don't know if that will happen but I'm hoping it will. About the floor textures- we will easily import the ones from 2k9, that's for sure.
I'm waiting for another thing. A tool that can do more things than the ones we have now (I'd like to be able to totally change the baseline colors, jersey numbers, scoreboards etc w/o texmod).
Every year when a new nba game comes out we give highest priority to gameplay expectations because you would get bored with no new animations etc. Visual things can always be modded with a fully operative tool

I've personally never understood it myself....

I could care less if the courts aren't 100% perfect. Give me some great game play and I'm happy. I don't pay attention to mascots, cheerleaders or the damn pop corn guy walking up the stairs.

If I want mascots and cheerleaders i'll play my NCAA Football 10

I really love the mascots in 2K9. My favorite is the Raptors one, even though all of them have the same animated routines I always get distracted by that raptor.
