NBA 2K10 PC BUGS AND GLITCHES THREAD

Issues I have:

No 16:10 (1.7778)* Aspect Ratio. My monitor supports black bars to the sides for fullscreen resolutions (4:3 and 5:4) on my 1680x1050 LCD display, but it does not support black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Would using a DVI cable instead of the VGA one I have now fix this, as in the Nvidia driver is supposed to do the black bar** drawing?

Players stumble over things too often, not that big a deal though.

Muffled and/or low quality audio files.*** This is my BIGGEST pet peeve about the game. I can't stand low audio quality. I'd rather have crappy graphics instead of audio.

Logitech Rumblepad config is not set until loading past the "Press Enter or Start Button" screen. It still beats 2K9's shotty controller config support, which wouldn't set until you forced the config again in the options or launched a quick game or demo to have them set.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? VINCE CARTER DOES NOT HAVE THE VINCE CARTER DUNK PACKAGE (Included with the game) ASSOCIATED WITH HIM? That's got to be some kind of ridiculous joke.

Clark Kellogg is still lame. I want Kenny's Pennies back. And, I don't care what day of the week it is, I want my starting line-ups announced over PA with a really loud and excited announcer like in 2K8 and below.

Not all of these are glitches, but hey it's something I feel should be addressed.

** Another name for the black bars is letterbox.

*** I can do some audio engineering to the voice samples to make them sound 'cleaner', like up-sampling an image file with a bicubic (not bilinear) filter to get a higher resolution plus some other techniques, but I don't know what file(s) to look into (though I have an idea of which file(s) it may be...) exactly nor do I have any clue what format the file(s) may be in, or if they are even just common formats with a proprietary archive file format.

Ah, I see what you mean. I notice the minimum cap on most player stats is at 25 now instead of 50.

Yeah, pretty much drops everyones overall and individual rating.

Well the sound issue has been confirmed, at least by me to be working fine if you have an x-fi card. All you have to do is download the creative Alchemy drivers and you should be set. give it a try

I have an Audigy4 and I'm using Windows 2000. I thought Alchemy was for Vista. Though I'll give it a shot.

P.S. Alchemy is not a driver, it's a wrapper.

EDIT: No luck, won't even install.

-anybody here who experience courts bugs/glitches? i've noticed that the courts are different if your going to play NBA TODAY, and the courts are somewhat old, and there are some missing textures/arts. but during quick game there's no problem

I'm on XP so I don't need any alchemy as it supports hardware acceleration and surround sound. I can confirm that the quality of sound is significantly reduced from 2K9.

the games that are played on the team's practice floor and the generic stadium are because the real life game isn't played in their actual stadium

yesterday the Cavs had their Quicken Loans arena all like normal, but if you played the Celtics game, they were playing in Hartford, CT so that is why it had a generic court. Same with the Thunder game from yesterday.

It's not just Vince, I've heard that Rondo doesn't have his layup package...etc. From what I've heard some players have their package built into them as they don't have a high enough rating to use their package. Not sure how accurate this is, but that's what I've heard. I don't get the game till tomorrow so I'll know more then.

I have a laptop with a 1280*800 screen. Does this mean it's going to be stretched for me?

-ah alright. thanks for the info, so they're using the same court on the real life game, maybe at the start of the season it will be normal, nice 2k sports..

in my player mode

when the shot clock goes down and the ball hit the rim the shot clock not reset

I`m mostly playing Association, started with Hawks and when I was in DEVELOPMENT with Josh Smith (rating 77) I saw his rebounds are both 59, so I went to work on rebounds. After successfully finishing it, results show SUCCESS 59->63, but after that I saw his rating became 75 (????????)!! Whoever goes to DEVELOPMENT, after finishing it, rating goes down instead of up! And that`s the most annoying bug for me, among tons of others...

i have a problem in association mode. i can not go on to the next season.....when im at thr rookie drafting, my game crashes.....
how can i fix it? thank you so much for your help.......more power!

wow, they really messed association mode up, once or twice, the game hung in the game wrap up screen after i ALREADY won, so i quit to the menu, and i was sort of expecting it, the game was counted as a loss.

well every time i start a game, i get to the tip off and the only one at the halfcourt line is the ref. there are no players. i reinstalled the game, i cahnged some settings but the glitch is still there. any help?

got it: delete the config.cfg. you´ll have to redo your settings but better than reinstall. worked for me.

By the way. I am documenting all the threads related to 2K9/2K10 issues in this forum and others like the official 2KSports forums. That way we can have some kind of 'handbook' of solutions and workarounds. Of course, everyone will be credited in the document.

Anyone notice that once you download a roster from another user from 2K Share, and try to load the roster, the game crashes to desktop?

This is a really big problem.

Looks like we can only use rosters that were made by PC users at 2K Share and not by xbox360 users.

^^ even 2kshare sliders are bugged, some attributes get negative values

I just found 2 bugs since I´m playing it a few days....

1. No screen of team´s Salary Cap when u trading a player in Dynasty-Mode.

2. My Player Mode: A few problems about contracts (cannot choose team etc.) already mentioned elsewhere...

Hello guys. I have recently experienced very strange bug/error i dont know how to call it. So when i try to play quick game/association starting 5 players wont show up on the court except home team PG and because of that the game wont start. Refs and that one player are just standing and doing nothing... Can anyone help me with that? Btw my player mode/blacktop are working fine.

Now another bug when my player is now ready to inbound the ball the referee or the other player will get stuck at him resulting to 5 second violation

just had a problem

upon the loading screen going away, right when I would normally see actual players and such, it would just die and goto the desktop

deleting my roster was the answer to that one
