Talk about NBA 2K10 here.
Mon Oct 05, 2009 9:13 pm
People nowadays are really dumb
as what ive posted in my last post
For all of you who keeps on asking on whether your specs can run nba 2k10 it is already clearly stated above that a
a rig with a 1.2ghz Celeron, 512MB ram, and an x800 that is running ~15-20 FPS on the lowest settings. That should give you an indication of how much better the performance is this year on lower end systems.
Shader Model 2.0 is fully supported this year, though the system requirements are going to say 3.0 or higher.
so if your rig is much higher than what i quoted then your pc should play it with a much higher FPS
Is it hard to understand?

How do you expect to run the game if you can't even read.
pretty much, all you guys are going to have a hell of a time figuring out which buttons to click to install the damn game. Even finding the eject button to put the disc in.

"It's inside the computer?"
Mon Oct 05, 2009 9:28 pm
My guess is that they probably would like to run the game in the best settings to achieve that best outcome.
Mon Oct 05, 2009 9:35 pm
No, some of them are just plain damn stupid.
I could quote you some of those stupidity if you really want or you could just read the entire thread.

my suggestion is u people who keep whinin that people keep askin for info bout how highly they can run the game, go read another forum and butt out.
if it drives u so crazy, simply dont read it. whos really stupid here ? all u do is critizise the people who ask for help. all of us aint computerfreaks and would like to know for sure. not so hard to answer them, now is it ?
this is what this topic is for actually (nba info?). i consider that as info when people ask..for..INFO..dumbass haters.

I didn't know READING is considered a specialized computer skill these days. I know reading is a basic skill not a specific computer skill.
Game requirements :
OS: Windows Vista, XP, or 2000
CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Single Core processor or equivalent (2.8 Ghz for Vista)
RAM: 512 MB or more (1 GB for Vista)
Hard Drive: 10.5 GB or more free space
Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible *
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Input: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad
* Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required: ATI x1300 or greater | NVIDIA 6600 or greater | DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support.
From the OP:
As we're fine tuning the performance now, it looks like the specs are going to be the same as last year. That being said, we have a rig with a 1.2ghz Celeron, 512MB ram, and an x800 that is running ~15-20 FPS on the lowest settings. That should give you an indication of how much better the performance is this year on lower end systems.
Shader Model 2.0 is fully supported this year, though the system requirements are going to say 3.0 or higher.
This thread doesn't even have that many pages yet, about one and a half pages. I can understand it if this thread has 4 pages, but one page?
Are people allergic to reading?
At the very worst, they need to use logic, which isn't a specific computer skill also.
With the combination of logic and reading they can deduce that their rig that can run 2K9 can also run 2K10, probably better as the info given in the OP.
The "all of us aint computerfreaks" isn't also an excuse because it's safe to assume that the posters have a bit of knowledge about PC hardware since they are also gamers and are capable of using the internet, thus they are visiting an internet site about a videogame.
How can they get the info they want if they don't even bother to read? dumbass morons.
Mon Oct 05, 2009 10:14 pm
safe to assume ? maybe. u dont know for certain though. its not ur place to judge em for knowin less bout logic and whatnot. i can see where ur comin from, i can. and i apologize for my attackish post before. BUT that doesnt mean i agree with u, i just think u should tone it down a little, afterall, we all want the same thing here - run nba 2k10 to perfection
Mon Oct 05, 2009 10:28 pm
With my "safe to assume" statement, I was referring to the posters who played 2K9 before and were asking if they can play 2K10, I didn't word it clearly. Since there was a greater chance that they also encountered a 'lack of info or knowleadge' about their own hardware when they got 2K9, it's 'safe to assume' that they know their hardware better at present now that 2K10 is coming out.
No worries, just noticed that you're one of the helpful posters in this thread. Continue what you're doing.
But I can't guarantee that I will not go ballistic again especially if I find a poster that posts similar specs to someone that you just recently helped.
Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:14 pm
lol, well im willing to take that chance sir

I'm gettin' my ATI HD 4670 512mb tomorrow. Hope I can play it better with my current Hybrid/Crossfire 780g 3200 + ATI 3450.
They said that if you can play 2K9 on your current system, 2K10 will run better than it.
Tue Oct 06, 2009 4:50 am
my specs
2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5850, 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive, NVIDIA GEFORCE 9300
i know i can run it, but @ about what settings?
plus i think there won't be any probs with windows 7, im running 2K9 on windows 7 rite now
Tue Oct 06, 2009 5:27 am
Maek, good choice, i have that card and its pretty nasty. idk if its got smth to do with getting Windows 7 or not, but after i did, the approx. video memory for that card is near 2000 MB for me. that aint too bad now
Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:16 am
So I still wont be able to run it on my shitty Intel Family Chip card
Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:54 am
It's a hell of a good game, very well done.
Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:53 pm
My pc is AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core processor 4400+2.31ghz 2gb of ram what detail settings i have to set in nba 2k10 that i can play well ?
Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:05 pm
without a video card, you can't.
Wed Oct 07, 2009 3:19 am
Just got my 4670. . .well I can now run the game Max settings out. . .
Here's my rig :
A64X2 4800 2.4
4gb ram
4670 512mb 128bit
Hoping that 2K10 will run just as smooth as this then I will surely be a happyman all year. . .
Can't wait!

Can I run the game on high settings with my desktop?
OS: Windows Vista 64bit Ultimate
Processor: AMD Athlon x2 5200 2.7GHz
Video Card: Inno3d 9400GT 512MB ddr2
Memory: 4.00GB DDR2
And Can I run it on my laptop?
OS: Windows Vista 32bit ultimate
Processor: Pentium Dual-Core CPU T4200 2.00GHz
Memory: 2.00GB DDR3
Video Card: Nvidia 9300M GS
Wed Oct 07, 2009 11:32 pm
Can I run it on my computer? I bought it in the 90s but I think it is still pretty good.
Intel 486, 1024kb Ram, VGA graphics (two years ago I upgraded from CGA), 40 MB HDD, MS Dos 6, Windows 3.11. Just PC speakers but I could possibly buy a Soundblaster 16-card. Minesweeper and Solitaire run flawlessly without any lag.
EDIT Ah, I also have TWO floppy drives! One with 5,25", one with 1.44MB on one disk. Can't wait to install the game with thousands of disks.
