Nba2k10 Draft Combine

It seems like your individual performance/teammate grade is highly dependant of how good your teammates are. I think I might not even finish the combine. I'm really bored with not knocking down open jumpshots with a shooting guard, trying to get open only to have the center flash to the 3 point line and get in my way, nobody setting me offball screens, can't call plays other then calling for a pick. If I go down to the post to spread the offense when the center flashes up, I get "bad positioning" from the teamwork grade. I play help defense because my teammate gets lost or something, negative grade for leaving my assignment. I'm also pissed that the "how to play" section has crap that you can't even do in the game.

Looking at some of the poor defensive rotation, if any of that is in 2K10, it will be a major problem. This game is severly limited. I don't know how this role playing feature of 2K10 will work out if it's anything like this. I heard the 99 rated players that are getting uploaded will be deleted.

I found it in both the demos section and the new releases section very easily last night.

I've started three players so far. When I did a Center and PF I just stayed in the posts and popped out for screens. With my SF which I just finished the combine with, just working on the scrimmage game achievements now, if you stay outside and call for the ball you can get some really good movement from the posts and with the SG coming off screens. It sucks that there aren't any plays in the DC, but one of the 2k guys said that you'll be expected to run the NBA team's plays when playing My Player.

I get docked with the Bad Positioning thing once the game decides there is no more fast break, but the way I see it, I get a negative for that, then 2 positives for a Post Shot and a Good Shot Selection.


What in the How To Play section can't we do?

About half of it. Like pushing into a defender, grabbing a player, swiping their hands off, all sorts of offball stuff.

Well, pushing into them, isnt that just moving towards them?

Grabbing, isnt that Left Trigger off ball on D?

I had one "good" defender that always stuck to me after I got "on fire" if you will, so I got to try the Right Stick swipe the hands off move.

Yes pushing is just moving into them. When I try to push into a defender, I sort of bounce off him like I am cutting, and then the post up animation triggers near the paint. i am looking for some other kind of triggered animation where I can push off the defender to get open. Unless this animation has to do with a defender who is denying you the ball, I don't know. Haven't been able to grab anybody at all like 2K9.

yea pushing if anything, happens too much for me

to push off I just move in on him then move the opposite direction


grabbing, well, is more of just keeping my hands on up on the guy with LT.

The thing is, nothing happens. I can't push off, can't grab, etc.
