This fucking mode is both wonderful and the bane of my fucking existence. 18 D-League games with a B- average, averaging 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.... and nothing. I even got cut by the D-League team (Iowa Energy), and then the Mr. Smith or whatever-the-fuck said "But good news, The Iowa Energy of the NBDL have offered you a contract..." ..... the same team that just cut me.

OH AND THAT WAS NOT POOR SHOT SELECTION FUCK YOU.

Oh, and hi.

i suggest stop doing jumpshot .. it required good medium range shooting and also CONSISTENCY... you have to increase that skill too...

im averaging 34 pts with .753 % thats 75% of my shots ... why? cause i dont take jumper... I attack the basket, crossover, explore, slash, layup, dunk... juke, slash, dunk...

I created a 2k10 version of myself, although I can't get it to look exactly like me. :-?

Adjusted the height to 6' 6" to at least be qualified as a basketball player. Played for the Oklahoma City Thunder training camp but they wasted the opportunity of signing my game counterpart and instead sent me to the Washington Wizards training camp wherein my player was scrapped by the likes of Gilbert Arenas, Mike Miller, and Caron Butler.

The player was then shipped to the NBDL, played like five games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers wherein "I" averaged like 21.0 ppg and 5 rpg. The Chicago Bulls signed the player into a 10-day contract wherein my player's teammate grade hit B+. My time in the Wizards training camp and with the Vipers raised my grade at A-.

Won a game with the Bulls against the Celtics earlier today, but with a scrappy performance rating of B-. Lakers are next in the schedule.

Several pics of my player:

This seems to be a silly question...

Okay I'm now 28 games played in the Dev league. I'm being waived after every single game, and then the idiot voice informs me that the very same team has offered me a contract. In 10 minutes per game, I'm averaging 12 points, 1 reb, 1 ast, .5 stl and .5 blk... Bare minimum c+ teamwork rating (usually B- or B with the occasional A), and I haven't gotten anything except waived every game.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I don't take any jumpshots. Maybe 1 three every other game.

you should get some assist more often and also pick off ball screens :) also try to get some rebounds and yup, you need to drive inside the paint :)

What he said. And adding on, filling the lane, boxing out, good shot selection, passing to open people and blocks or at least being in the face.

What position do you play Donatello? Point Guard is the easiest as you can just take it in every time, but if your speed rating is low or you're a big man, thats out of the question. Its not your fault you keep getting waived. Its one of many glitches. Basically don't be passive on offense. I did that thinking it was the way to getting a good teammate score, when taking it to the basket and being the star actually yielded superior returns.

Good luck.

man this is the only reason why i will stick on playing nba2k10. it's a great game feature imho. mine is an all-around SG, 6'7" high and 40 overall having B+ to A+ team grades. Got cut-off by the washington wizards and sent to d-league jam. Still not on the first five on a 8th game stint. So far so good. averaging 6-12 points a game. One question guys, how do you do a screen for your team mate? i want to give some picks for jam's PG.

It's the one that does a crossover on offense.

I'm getting impatience with what my career is going. Damn i'm on my second season in the d-league and leading the team in almost all statistics. A pass-first PG 67overall averaging 22.2ppg 4.5rpg 8.4apg 2.6spg shooting 51% in the field 42% in the threes and 92% from the line, and still i don't have any offers after a brief stint with the spurs.

stats doesnt count... and it will not guarantee a passage to nba...

teamgrade is important from A to A+ you will get a contract with an nba team for sure... probably 6 consecutive A to A+ games

Defense and passing was what got me in the nba. Don't know if it's always like that though.

Okay, so I didn't quite get that the teammate grade was more important than stats. Even though I usually get a B, I guess that's what has been holding me back.

I had been playing a SF/SG as the 'main', and just ran through the Draft Combine (didn't do that the first time) with a pure SG to see if it is easier; it kind of was. Went 2nd round pick 15 to the Wolves. I might abandon the SF and just stick with the SG now.

My teamgrade right now is A and i think since we start the 2nd season of the D-league i only have 1 none A+ teamgrade.. and for the fact that we are now 16-0.. I've been getting A+ rating as early as late of the first quarter or the first minutes of the second. I think the Toros don't want me to leave their team. Haha!

Okay, focusing on getting the As makes sense to me now. It really isn't hard to do, just hard to get used to after years of playing whoever has the ball.

I deleted my SF and I'm sticking with the SG that I created in Draft Combine. 2nd round, 15th pick to the Timberwolves- they invited me to camp but I got cut after the 2nd game despite scoring 29 points (stupid Mario West making me get a B). Got on with the Tulsa 66ers and got an A in my first game.

This mode is awesome.

I have a 6'3 SG rating of 62 currently starting for the indiana pacers, 13ppg 3steals 5 assist, average team rating of A+. I play very well so I got to start, and ive been on the starting roster all year, finished my first season, didnt make play offs cause of the way the pacers play their center, got crushed on the inside all day long by other teams. Hoping because of my first year numbers to get picked up by a pretty good team in the upcoming draft, maybe the cavs since they are my hometeam. Unfortunately I got the rare bug( so they say in the patch release) and I cant continue because it wont let me, so I have to wait on the patch, by the way happens after the first season. For all those who want to know how long it takes to get out of D-league, theres another known bug addressed and sometimes you wont get out and you have to start over, which is what I did with this character I have now, my previous character played 37 games in D-league and I had enough.
