How does living roaster work?

i had 2k9 for pc last year so i didn't get to use living roaster. so with it being on 2k10 for pc this year i just want to know how it works and if the living roaster would update your association roaster too. also for the pc version would i also get new animation packages like the consoles did last year?

You put the chicken in and basically the temperature heats to the extent that it cooks.
