User Profile and Post-Up

I got 2 questions:

1. How do I make my profile STAY in Player 1 slot!. Everytime I launch the game it automaticcaly goes to the second slot. Its killin me. Is there a fix?

2. When I give my Center or PF the ball I can't find out how to back down the defender. In 2k9 I would just press "5" on my logitech controller and then move the stick toward the basket and my player would nudge the defender trying to back him down. Now when I press "5" he does a little side hop step holding the ball. I've tried all the buttons but can't figure it out. Anyone?

1. delete the other profile that is taking up the #1 spot by going to the save directory and deleting it
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K10\Saves (vista)
then for now on when you start the game, instead of pressing enter at the first screen, press start on the controller

2. auto backdown this year, pretty much just stand still or move into the defender and it should start the backdown

Auto back down huh? Hmmm not sure I like that but I'll have to see if it works. I've noticed a lot of moves are auto this year. I feel like I have lost a lot of the control of the player that I had in last year's game. The player you control now, for example, doesnt turn around if I turn the joystick when trying to get out the paint but instead slowly backs away facing the hoop. Could take some getting used to I guess. Also, is it ture that online doesnt support gamepads? Only keyboards for right now?

when I played online I used my controller....

the problem I ran into was that both "players" connected to the game (keyboard and controller) are selected on your team, so you gotta move the keyboard off to the neutral space so you aren't controlling 2 players.
