Clueless about framerates need help

I am getting 20 fps on the performance test. I have no idea if that is good or bad.

I have intel 2160@ 1.80 ghz, 4 gb of ram, nvidia 8600 gt with latest drivers and can play with everything on high except player detail without problems @ (20fps), when I turn player to high the game is unplayable(slow dont know how many fps)

Does this sound right, any ideas on how to increase performance, or am I out of luck, any help appreciated.

Sounds about right for those specs. CPU is low end, and when you turn the players to high it uses the CPU more.

Turn settings down to increase performance.
