I experience problems, need a solution

So I have this weird problem, it's on almost all games, but it never bothered me so much, until I found out that 2k10 is running too fast as well

Basically after the computer starts it's all good, but after ~15-20 minutes (once even 1 minute) the game starts running way too fast, like on fast motion. It really blows, I can't play my 2k10 with full satisfactory . Once it happens I got to restart my pc.

Here's my specs:
Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
1GB RAM
GeForce 8600GT


I had the same problem with my 2k9 too, but it would start like 5 or 6 hours after I start playing (never bothered me because I never play that much). But 15 minutes?!?! C'mon.... What a pain in the ass...

Known issue with dual core AMD processors.

Your ram needs to be upgraded to at least 2.
I got four gigs on mines, so i'm ready to max out my 2k10

Solved, turns out I forgot to install one of the drivers, seems to fix it. Thx :0]

Could you plz write your solution, e.g which drives did u update? I tried to update my processor driver for the .o -version to the one on the amd hp, but it didnt work...
