trouble loading game, help

I just bought NBA 2k10 but my computer is unable to read it. My computer acts as if it is a blank disc. I have NBA live 08 for my computer and it works fine. I was guessing my computer does not have the right equipment for this game. if anyone has a few ideas what i need to buy to get this game running, it would be greatly appreciated.
