Making the transition from NBA Live to NBA 2k

Postby toyotascionxd on Sun Oct 11, 2009 10:07 am

I've been an NBA Live gamer since 1995. Last year I got disappointed with NBA Live 2009. I tried out NBA 2k9. I didn't like the nba 2k games in the past because 2k has lot of controls to master. At the same time you cannot edit the game jersey numbers in past 2k games. For those gamers who want to try NBA 2k10, I suggest you go to the tutorial mode. The tutorial mode helps you master the controls that you need to use for your player. I wish that 2k would adopt EA sports simplicity when it comes to controlling the players. They should just designate one button for dunking the ball. Well that's just my opinion.

I bought 2k10 (mainly because I wanted "my player", can't stand marv albert - and the live commentary in general, and i prefer the association over dynasty)
Last year I bought 2k9 as well, and got extremely bored very fast, so i was hesitant to buy 2k10.

Anyway, I also prefer the simplistic controls of live, but the more and more I play 2k10 I am starting to like it (especially the shot stick) - but I really hate how sometimes the players dont stop moving when you want, or they don't turn - sometimes you loose control it seems like.

Anyway, I think 2k10 is very good anyway, much more fun than 2k9 when i had played it - tbh I probably would have bought live if they had a feature similar to "my player", only because I wasn't expecting much from 2k10 except 2k9, and I couldn't play the 2k10 demo since it was delayed until 10/15.

Very good though, but I agree that the controls of live 10 are more preferable.
