[CHEAT]Here's how to edit salary cap

For those who want to edit the salary cap. Here's how:

1) Create a new dynasty or load your dynasty save. Copy down the salary cap (for a new dynasty, it should be $43.84M), save your dynasty and exit the game.

2) Open the save folder of your dynasty and find a file called "franchise.dat". Make a backup for this file.

3) Use a HEX file editor (eg. UltraEdit) to open the franchise.dat.

4) Use the calulator in windows to convert the salary cap from DEC format to HEX format. Note, money in the game is saved in a kilo base. So $43.84M is saved as 43840. Convert 43840 to HEX you will get AB40.

5) Use the search function in your HEX file editor to search the franchise.dat for the salary cap in HEX format. Note, as before, lower byte first, you should search for 40AB, not AB40.

6) The cursor will be in place after the search is done. If you are editing a new dynasty, you will see at the cursor 40 AB 00 00 00 00 00 00.

7) 40 AB 00 00 is the address for salary cap. Change it to the salary cap you want. If you want the salary cap to be $100.00M, then convert 100000 to HEX which is 186A0. Change 40 AB 00 00 to A0 86 01 00, now your salary cap is $100.00M.

8) 00 00 00 00 is actually the dynasty point. This is a new dynasty example so you got no point. You can use the same method in 7) to change it if you want.

9) Save the file, restart your game and enjoy.

yep this should be sticky.......sometimes the salary cap can be located in the left most corner of the hex editor...but dont worry the preceeding hex will be your dynasty points.....
i wonder how can i edit the salary cap of other teams? i wanted to have all my teams in my dynasty having the 60 million salary cap istead of the choking 48.34 million cap

There is only one salary cap in a dynasty. Every team has the same sallary cap. You change it, it affects all teams.

just use the built in calculator in windows my friend.....use the scientific feature.....the theres a chk box there wether it will be a hex or a decimal

sorry man.. i think it is not possible.i tried my ass doing hex editing and still to no avail.till one day i decided it is not really that bad sharing your "blessings" with other teams..

ok i have a problem..... i using Denver Nuggets in career mode rite!... and there cap room says something like 255K ....now i'm not really use to the career mode thing so i tried sellin some players and no luck (keep telling me of transfer cannot go through cause there isnt any cap space and blah blah blah) how do i free up some cap space so i can make trades and sign ppl? i've even lost lenard cause i dont know how to re sign him and what not and i think Boykins got one more year left and i can afford to lose another star

There is the alternative option. You can download artmoney from here

(or any other memory editor) and edit 43840 (i did it 438400 ) ; the changes are not permanent so everytime you load your salary cap will be back to 43840 but you can use it when trade or sign players. If you are patient enough you can also find the tags and edit player's salaries. For those who dont know how to use a memory editor read below
1. install the memory editor and run the game , then alt+tab and load editor
2. open proccesses bar and select the game (nba live 2005 in our case)
3. hit search and type 43840 in the box (its an integer so you dont have to change anything else) then move all the findings to right box
4. You will get many tags containing 43840 number (i ve got 49 ) try to edit them , most of them will not allow you to do that but there are two that they will ( 23rd and 25th was in my search) EDIT THEM
5. Delete all other tags(on the right box) except the two we are interested on and SAVE the table for future use.

Using the same method you can add dynasty points , just type your dynasty points on the search then move findings on the right box , go spend some dynasty points on scouting then go back to editor and shieve using the new number (if you have 200 DP and spend 50 go search for 150 ) , save the table - afaik dynasty points are not change every time you load. You can also do other more rediculus things like freeze opponent's score on zero , freeze clock etc but thats a bit more advanced

I understood everything up until step # 7. I don't quite comprehend how $100.00M is being converted into 100000 and then into 186A0 (hex value).

Could someone help me out?

And to be more specific I'd like to increase the salary cap up to $55.50 Millions.

How do I go about on doing that?
