Postby JaoSming on Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:29 am

This is an EBO Editing Tutorial which includes
The EBO Editor
FshX
the Tutorial
and a "sandbox" court for you to do whatever your little heart contents.

When you finish the tutorial I would Like you to please post your court in this thread so I can see how it came out, and if I need to change the tutorial at all.

Tips:

Save and Back-up often
this EBO editor isnt the most stable program in the world

Trial and Error is the way to go
Learn how to use "Alt+Tab" to switch between NBA Live 06 and your editors.

Share what you have
I got good because of the criticism I got (very little) but it helped me a lot.
If you dont want to post your tutorial court in this thread here, contact me thru e-mail, AIM, or E-mail and show me what you did.

I will upload an advanced tutorial and how to make your court available for 5v5 play later.

Enjoy and Good Luck :D

DOWNLOAD

EDIT 1/31/07
If you want to use this in 07 you need to rename all of the pgym files to prac files. For instance pgymbbd.fsh => pracbbd.fsh.
I have made a tutorial in the 07 patching section that makes that process easier. Check it out here. viewtopic.php?t=44355

Back Boards Tutorial

Includes 3 different backboards.
Over Hang
Urban
Normal
and tells you how to put it in your court you made from above.

I was going to put this in the next tutorial, but you have to extract a different court's
xxxxcrt.edo
xxxxcrt.fsh
xxxxcrt_vram.fsh

files and change the xxxx to pgym. then you just edit the courts fsh files like normal

I finished the ebo editing fine and everything looked great but when it came to the fshx whenever i edited something and looked in the game i would get a runtime error and the floor would have patches of wood and stuff.

Make sure you save FshX often, like, every minute...

....and close FshX everytime you bring up NBA Live...it crashes when something 3D is on the screen

very interesting courts man , grate start tho, I hope that well see some great stuff from you in the future

Thanks for nice comments :)

Just one question to Jao (or someone else): Is it possible to change the form of the backboard? Everytime I try to open pgymbbd.ebo with Ebo Editor, it crashes and says something like this: "Runtime error '6': Overflow". I think its possible because there was a different type of backboard in Andreas Dahl's Next Gen Practice Court.

gromit u dont need to open the ebo file, you just need to open pgymbbd.fsh with FshX, and replace the "obak" with your backboard texture.
