What program do you use to Rebuild? I use bigGUI and Rebuild is the R at the top.

It's white because either you didn't use transparency or the transparency didn't work, which happens sometimes if you use PSP. What program did you use?

EDIT: Or as Bassman just pointed out to me, it could be because you didn't save it as a .png file. I edited the first post to say that. He also says you can do it with PSP, but I couldn't ever figure that out.

FshX will let you import PNG files. Just type in the file name and extension.

so you can make portraits for your generated rookies and not give them a new cyberface :?:

It would seem to be so. I haven't tried it myself, but it looks like it should work.

I created myself in a game, and I did everything the tutorial said. However, everytime I try to select myself in the roster, the game crashes. Please help.

Do you have a cyberface? If not, don't change FACEID in the appearance.dbf.

Okay, all the files need to be called 'plyr004'; then you need to do a bit more DBF editing (look here), just don't change FACEID if you don't have a cyberface.

Open the plyrprts~SHONEAL.big (or whatever it's called) file once again and import the four files; the .fsh, .ebo, .apt and the .const; Rebuild them and close the .big file. You have now finished creating a portrait file for your player.

SHONEAL's files stay in the .big file after I import my 4 files. I try to delete them but after I exit the editor they come back again.

Btw, I tried just putting the .big with the 8 files (4 of mine, 4 of SHONEAL) and still nothing appears.

Please help.

You need Photoshop (or the like) to get the pic, BigGUI to open/rebuild the .big files (can be found in NLSC downloads), FshX to open the .fsh file (again, NLSC downloads) and the Hex Editor I linked to.

Hex Editor
BigGUI
FshX

Photoshop - Yeah right

FXEDIT32 is good because you don't have to take time to install anything.

ok....... its a great tut, but i'm kinda lost.......

for a created player WITHOUT a CF, where do you find

"After you have that, you need to open the file fe/plyrprts.viv and extract one of the files, it doesn't matter which, it should be a file called plyrprts~SHONEAL.big (or whatever the name of the player is). Open that file and extract the four files found inside. You should extract all the files to a folder you've created, it makes it a lot easier if they're all in the same place, including the image you want to use."

in other words...... where do u find the viv files and big files etc. for created players..?? do i have to look for their playerid or something......? i'm really confused.....any help would be greatly appreciated........
