How to add your own face into the game.[By:kbryant8]

1) Create your own face with photoshop or another program...
2) Save that face to BMP file.
3) you need 3 programs:
EA graphics editor http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=14
FSHx http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=81
DBF editor http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=1
4) Open your Nba main folder and open plyrface.viv with EA graphics editor,you can find it c:/program files/Ea sports/Nbalive2006/sgsm/players
and export some players fsh file to the desktop.
5) Open that Fsh file with FSHx editor and import your created playerface.Save and quit.
6) Now open C:/My Documents and settings/nba live 2006/choose save by yourself and open it,then open players.DBF with DBF editor and change ISCREATED: Player is created (TRUE/FALSE),ISGENERATE: Player was generated in Franchise Mode (TRUE/FALSE),ISHISTORIC: (TRUE/FALSE) and PLAYERPKG(if your name is Mart Poom or some other name then change it to MARPOOM or something else,that MARPOOM was example) save and quit.
Now open APPEARANCE.DBF and find yourself there by PLAYERID number what was in PLAYERS.DBF,in APPEARANCE.DBF its APPEARID but number is the same.Then change FACEID to -1,Save and quit.
7) Rename that face fsh to MARPOOM and put that file to c:/Program files/EA sports/nbalive2006/SGSM folder
8) Open the game and load your save game and then your created face is in the game
9) if you want to add yourself some other players headshape then open (c:/program files/nba live 2006/SGSM/players) plyrgrc.viv (B,D also) with EA Graphics editor and export those files to the desktop and rename files MARPOOM.(you must export all files what that player have whos headshape you wanted.(headband.ebo and goggle.ebo,if you want that same hair like that player got then add hair.ebo too.)
Then put all those files to the SGSM folder.

I updated it littlebit for 06 and hope that will be useful.

My version is righ too man.
It must be seven letters,so it really doesnt matter what do you put there,so it`s not a bug and it works.Its my way how to put things work and its right.I have tested it so
People used that same thing for 2005 also and it worked,and it works for 06 ALSO.

Hmm,i didn`t say hes way was wrong but i have done many faces with that tutorial(my own) and all works.So he said like i have errors here but i don`t,if it works then it is useful i think.He can do tutorial as well with hes methods.i want to help people but i get only critics

Hey i've been trying to do this whole cyberface wit a created player i don't know what i'm doing wrong. I followed this tutorial which was pretty simple however when i play nba live with my player to see if his face is correct. My player has a dark head and a white body and the face is not the cyberface i made can anybody help me out thanks.

Look those False things over again,that causes the face thing.
For body i dont know,maybe your graphic card aint good enough ?

This is somebodys player that has the same problem as me. i found it on another forum. The game plays perfect so i dont think its the card

Open appearance dbf and edit muscletextr r smt and color
To new one,you just got white mans skin.
just look it what some other black player has and put same numbers on those lines

i had the same problem!
but now i handel it! you need to change 2 lines in player.dbf your playa(his id must be 2017) and second line of your playa(just in case id 40..) change ISCREATED to false(0) and name of your guy like kobryan

then u need to change faceid type to -1 in Apperance.dbf
that's all

Look comments here before u.
Look over those face id-s and stuff,you just forgot smt.
And if you writed your full name to PLAYERPG then its wrong,u can use only 7 letters.And it must be same as your ebo and fsh files.

Now it works, I changed the ISEDITED to false in the players.dbf and it works, i don't know why....

it probalby made it like all the other players in that you cant edit birthplace and then the game reads it as a original player
