[CHEAT] Salary cap and draft pick edition tutorial

Sorry guys but as a noob I need to ask, can someone please let me know exactly how to change the salary cap to $70 million. I followed the directions and was able to change it to $100 million , but I found it was a little to unrealistic AND I also noticed that other teams were really offering a lot for free agents cause when I offered a player the contract he was asking for, I got a text message the next day that said "thanks but we are going to go with a different offer". To make a long story short, I don't know how to cover these anything to HEX, so if someone can do that for me and let me know (step by step) the change to $70 million would be great!!!

This tutorial was written for NBA Live 07 but also applies to NBA Live 2005, 06 and 08.

My current cap space is 50.5M, but I want to change it to this season, which is $58,680,000 I believe.

Can anybody tell me, what I have to change to what? I tried to change it myself, but my Cap space was 301K after that

I believe you need to change it to 33E5. Make a backup of your Dynasty and give that a try.

Most of this is way over my head, so to speak, I hope someone can figure this out.

I'm at the menu before the offseason, and my cap space now is at -14.95M so I can't really do much in the offseason without losing a lot of players.

I downloaded UltraEdit already and I have it opened up to my franchise.dat file to find many strings of HEX that I have no idea about, I changed -14.95 in the advanced calculator for windows as -14950 and it gave me FFFFFFFFFFFFC59A, I searched this up and I found nothing. Maybe I changed it wrong? Either way if someone can figure this out it would help tremendously, I'm thinking of changing my cap space into something ridiculously huge so I could mess around and sign a lot of players, something like $90M.

The Hex value for 14950 is 3A66. If you want to change your salary cap to $90m, the hex value is 15F90.

EDIT: You should look at your current salary cap not the difference that you've indicated (-$14.95m); should be somewhere in the region of $50m to $70m depending on how many seasons you've played.

My salary cap is 50.00M and that converts to C350.
but when i search for C350 its not there

Try 50C3 instead; you need to flip the first two numbers/letters with the second two.

but.. was it meant to change the salary cap for every team or just mine?
because every team has like 70M of cap space now as well as me

Everyone. You can't set your own salary cap figure, every team must adhere to the same salary cap so it's a global value.

I am trying this on NBA Live 08 and my salary cap is 55.63 and -.005 its 55.625 which converts to D949 and that makes it 49D9 and i can't find that on Ultra Edit

Try 4ED9. Some people have found success converting 55625 to hex, for others converting 55630 to hex works instead.

that's right MM; now i think you need to flip the byte order and search for "EE E8"
