NBA Live 07 in widescreen

Since I observe that there are a lot of new members here starting to play NBA Live 07, I thought I ’d post a useful tutorial on how to enjoy a better game:

a) Set your in-game resolution to 800x600, play a game for like a minute and then exit the game, NBA Live 07 will save your resolution.

b) Search for a string (ctrl + F) "20 03 00 00 58 02" by using a hex editor on your original nbalive07.exe file.

c) Now replace / overwrite that string with one of those:
"A0 05 00 00 84 03" (for 1440x900 native resolution)
"80 07 00 00 38 04" (for 1920x1080 native resolution)
"80 07 00 00 B0 04" (for 1920x1200 native resolution)
Don't forget to make a back-up first!!!

Please note that the resolution only changes during an exhibition game and not for the menu start-up.
Furthermore, when you pause a game and go to the detail settings, it will still say "800x600", never mind that...

Does this work with nba live 08?

Possibly, but I'm pretty sure NBA Live 08 actually has support for a couple of widescreen resolutions.

Andrew, no.. nba live 08 and 07 both have same resolution but BadLuckLuke tutorial fix that in all games

I might've been thinking of the PS2 version of NBA Live 09 then, I remember one of the last gen Lives having widescreen support.

While this does work, it looks horrible. The game doesn't support widescreen, players end up looking like they're 3 feet tall and fat.
