My team is:

Greg Oden - C
LeMarcus Aldridge - PF
LeBron James - SF
Carmelo Anthony - SG
Dwayne Wade - PG

Bench is:

Andrew Bynum - C
Yi - PF
Kevin Durant - SF
Gerald Green - SG
Daniel Gibson - PG

I am the Lakers and what I did is to Fantasy draft my team and picked James first. After that, I was left with like 15-18 million in cap space and just did my trades.

I'm in my first year of Dynasty and am getting ready to play game 2 of the 07-08 regular season.

So I guess moral of the story is just keep on trying because trading DOES work. :) (Y)

First Season Phoenix. Before the first match my Line-Up is:

C - S.O'Neal 86
PF - A.Stoudemire 93
SF- R. Gay 79
SG - Ellis 79
PG - Nash 84

Bench

Oden 77
Other players

The new players are Gay, Ellis and Oden.

As you can see I got Ellis and Gay they have same overall as Barbosa and Hill but they are younger and they are cheaper. D'iaw I have changed for Oden so if O'Neal stops at the end of season 1 I got a good replacement.

I am still trying to get a good Draft Pick for next year so I can get a future PG.

2nd year is also Weagan SF 83

Gay has 99 for dunking and has won the Slam Dunk Contest twice in a row.

How did I do with my team. Give a grade if you want. Mr. Green

Can you post how you made these trades?
And Bird is a generated rookie, am I right?

I really don't know

But Oden, Ellis and Gay came in the first year. Barbosa, N'diaw, Skinner and Hill were traded for them.

I cant remember who for who but I think n'diaw for Oden. Ellis for Barbosa and Skiner and Hill for Gay. Can be wrong about it. And an central Jefferson or something I got and he was included with one of the players above.

Then the 2nd year I traded the draft picks and I think I used a bug in the game. I got the Pacers and Philedelphia's first picks[1st and 3rd overall] for my 1st and 2nd round pick. :s

From there I picked Weagan and someonelse with a great potentional. This player I changed with one of my other players for the Rookie Bird.

An so I got my team. Very Happy It is young and good, I won the play-offs twice in a row. Very Happy

EDIT: Bird and Weagan are generated yes.

This is what happened. :)

Great team I guess.

Hello everyone, I could use some help trying to trade for Tony Parker (87)..I'm in my first year of NBA Live 08 using the pistons..I've tried trading Chauncey Billups (86) and Rip Hamilton (82) for him and Brent Barry (68)..I've tried Chauncey and Corey Magette (79) (acquired for tayshaun prince, didn't like him) and Chauncey and Sheed...no go. I really don't like Billups and Tony Parker is my favorite PG, so I'm trying to get him somehow..any tips or help is appreciated :D

If the CPU is declining a trade of players rated 86 and 82 overall for players rated 87 and 68 overall, then you're looking at a difficult situation because normally the CPU would accept a trade that favours them in terms of the total overall ratings of the players they're receiving. If possible, you might want to add a third player on each side of the deal but don't give up all your most valuable trade assets to get one player.

The other thing to remember is that teams who are winning are less likely to want to trade their superstars. San Antonio's default team direction would be to compete for a championship and if they're winning in the regular season, they'll consider themselves on track for that goal and less inclined to give up Parker.

No problem. If you're keen you can keep trying, try to include any players that they show medium to high interest in and if they hit a bit of a slump, definitely push for a deal.

i think Orlando is already rebound+Shooter team,
Dwight rebounder
get a pf with average/good rebound
move to SF lewis shooter
try to get sg, kapono or jr smith they're shooter also,
PG j.nelson shooter also,

Can someone explain to me how the heck the CPU can trade just whatever they want in Dynasty Mode without consider salary cap like in my games? For example: I simulate up a bit till NBA all-star and then go to news and see: Memphis trade Arenas for Howard (TUP12), It's OK if Memphis is already -3mil+, Orlando -7+, Arenas salary is just 875k when Howard get 18mil+ Some other ridiculous trade like Hinrich (Hawks) - 6mil for Rose (Bulls) - 15mil when both are already in red. (I use normal salary cap). Can someone explain this for me?

Is there anyway to prevent this? I mean it's too unfair with the player like this.

The CPU isn't able to override the salary cap as far as I'm aware, so I'm not sure that's happening there.
