Now that this year is pretty much over...

What is your final thoughts of Live 10. Personally, It was the first Live I had on my 360 and I am going to have some great memories of playing live run with my friend who moved away. All around, The game I thought was well polished and looked nice and was just all around fun. I was amazed by the ammount of haters.

I thought it made some strides in some areas but a couple of steps backwards in others. The biggest disappointment for me was that the patch caused a couple of issues that really affected my enjoyment of the gameplay and game modes were an afterthought, so Dynasty was really in bad shape. It was far from perfect, but I thought it was a little better than some made it out to be.

Yea, I can agree with that. If you could take out the flaws that the patch caused and take out the flaws that were there out of the box I think it would have been pretty solid. You are right about dynasty mode though. Really needs a huge update this year...Or just put Live 2004s in.

I'd prefer a mix of NBA Live 06's Dynasty Mode with some of the changes that were first added in the 360/PS3 version of NBA Live 08 (the whole "push" Dynasty approach).

I thought it was good... not great, but good. The Superman AI was my main concern. I always get a hand up on a shooter....always, but the CPU always makes shots. I miss open shots, and get blocked even after I've gotten past my man. The game lacked game modes, and dynasty mode is basically just playing a bunch of games with the same team.

However, the good in the game helped me keep playing it. I like the hustle plays, and the freestyle passing. But my favorite thing to do on offense is move off-ball players and get 'em open for a shot. I also love the crowd atmosphere; I actually felt nervous on my first playoff game. (Y) Player models are decent, and the gameplay is also great. Overall, I give it a 8/10.

Rant done.

I agree, NBA Live 10 had the most brutal comeback AI since NBA Live 06 in my view.

Yeah, I get past players like Kobe and B-Roy, but when I go for the dunk, they magically catch up to me, and block the dunk. (N)

The balance between CPU and user abilities is definitely a bit too much in the CPU's favour, to the point where it doesn't feel like a genuine challenge. As I've said before though, that's something I felt was more of an issue post-patch.

If nothing else, I hope Elite 11 fixes that, if not it could be a long year for me. :(

Agreed. With the work that's gone into game modes including Dynasty (hopefully we'll have another Q&A on that at some point) we should hopefully be in for a good year.

Another thing, I just have to put the idea of the "next year" and just enjoy the game. Seemed like to much I was just thinking about Live 2011.
