OK, I don't know why I'm barely asking this question now but, when pressing down on the D-buttons, you get options like offense, pick and roll d, and rebounding. I know about the offense, but I have questions on the rebounding and pick and roll d. What's the difference between crash boards, and get back? Also, what does the trap option do for pick and roll d?

if you slide it towards crash boards your players will stick around the offensive/defensive boards to rebound...get back will have them run to the other side of the court for more fast breaks or FB defense
Opinions are my own.

I guess crash boards is the way to go if I'm using the Rockets, which is what I've been using the whole time. Thanks.

What are the features that NBA live 10 have that were present in the live 06-09 versions?

Freestyle superstar moves (06 , 07, 08, 09)?
Hotspots (08 , 09)?
go-to moves?

I'm planning on buying the game that's why I'm asking.

FSS - No
Hot Spots - Not in the same way, but that kind of data is part of Player DNA
Go To Moves - No

I thought there were still some goto moves as some players did the little step back jumper if you pressed to the left or right while shooting.

You could be right. They aren't as prominent as in NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 09 though.

I think those stepbacks are the go to moves. A lot players would do it if you simply do a fadeaway instead of it being backing down and doing a fadeaway. Its easier to do now but i did like the concept better in 08.

08 definitely had a wider variety with floaters, fadeaways and leaners.

Speaking of leaners, is there any way to do them in Live 10?

Is there a slider or setting to ramp up the intelligence of the AI on offense that I'm not aware of? On All-Star, the AI just jacks up shots that will never go in in a million years. No matter how high I set their shooting sliders, Live 10 is just not a challenge to me anymore. :shake: (N)

You can try to look at the bad shots they are taking and narrow them down to tendencies. Once you see a pattern you can try editing the rosters using the global editing or editing by team option. I did that when the cpu just tried to penetrate on every possession instead of running plays or posting up. It's trial and error but it can really change the way the cpu plays dramatically.

Yeah, I'm playing in dynasty mode. Is there any way to change the tendencies there? Thanks for the reply btw.

I know there are some changes you can make in dynasty mode, I forget where as it's been a while since I have fired up Live 10. I think it's somewhere in the roster section, and you can just change the team to the one you are playing next and edit the ratings.

Has this ever happened to anyone else before?

After Durant's dunk the ball hits Beaubois' leg and rolls toward the half way line.
Jason Terry then grabs it and continues down to the far end and takes the in-bounds pass from there.

Haven't ever had it happen to me but I seem to recall others mentioning it (or similar inbounding glitches).

I'm not sure that EA Sports will be updating the rosters for another year, but a fair amount of people still seem to be playing it so there are fan made roster updates and slider suggestions out there. At this point you might want to give NBA 2K11 a look, perhaps it would be best if you rented both to help you make up your mind as to which you'd prefer.

No one's posted any here as yet. There might be something over at Operation Sports though, there tends to be a few more people working on console rosters over there.
