2 more things mined from the Ask the Devs Thread at OS

Beluba has let out two more little tidbits.
The new Quickstrike dribbling system is quite different than last year and we did our best to make sure that everybody was represented accurately within it. I'm pretty confident that you guys will feel the differentiation and signature-ness of different players across all of the gameplay features in Live 10.

This was in response to qnzballa5 saying
1.Its great to hear about no dribble move from 09 beig n live 10

Couldn't find the first quote from a developer saying that, but him not correcting him makes me think that the quickstrike we know was a one and done mechanic.

and then there was blocking
qnzballa5

Beluba, also what about blocks, will we have amazing catch up on the fastbreak blocks off the glass with lebron( lebrons blocks explain itself)

It will take some timing and skill, but yes, you'll be able to play weakside help volleyball with Lebron.
Opinions are my own.

Beluba said a few weeks or so ago that no dribble animations from Live 09 were being used in Live 10

It took me awhile to find it but here it is
"Haval, there are a number of cool things you can do as a perimeter player in Live 10 but I'm not ready to go into details on them just yet. You'll be happy to know that not a single dribble move animation is being kept from Live 09 and yes, there will be plenty of variety in the system."

Good looking out. (Y) Good news on both counts.

The dribbling and blocking were my pet peeves. I'm glad they switched it up!!!

what's interesting is that they have a few 2k guys playing major roles in the development of the game

what's even more interesting is how the Devs that are active over at OS always respond to someone asking about a full Superstar/Be a Pro mode saying something similar to "PR would kill us" or "Wait for the press releases" ect
Opinions are my own.

It wouldn't surprise me if they've fleshed that out this year. I figured it was just a matter of time when they introduced Be a Pro in its current state. Much like the eight FIBA teams in NBA Live 08, it's a preview/market research while at the same time giving us a little something extra to play around with in the meantime. Not a bad strategy, though it does seem to frustrate some people.
